Whenever I see these old places, I hear the echoes of all of the families that lived in them. I can only imagine those simpler and innocent times and truth be told? Things weren't perfect back then but compared to the madness of today? Paradise, my friend!

You know what I think would be a good idea!! People who are doing up old homes, trying hard to find period appropriate materials, if they could approach the land owner offer a small fee then be allowed to remove, safely and respectfully, the materials that are needed. These places are just rotting away and I hate that eventually it's just going to burn. I've seen this happen to a few old farmhouses. So much history eating away. Thank you for another awesome explore 😊

Bonjour, when you said you felt an eerie vibe in that corridor, all I could think of was it's all those poor books silently screaming "why hasn't anyone rescued us from this dusty moldy place when we were still readable? You came 3 years ago but abandoned us, why?" I was so sad 😥 But I smiled when you said people must definitely have taken away some of the books. I hope more can be saved, the ones that still look ok...

I wonder what this house was like back in the day. I try to imagine family's making memories and how they lived a much simpler life style. The clothes that people wore always gets me in these explores, it makes it more sombre for me. Another fine explore Paul very enjoyable.Big Michael Bolton fan and Bob Dylan, i could picture Dylans music pumping out and his song Shelter from the storm would be very apt for this home out in the middle of nowhere.

Two derelict old farmhouses 🏚🏚where life around goes on. As you mentioned Paul the bees 🐝go about their own business and the cows 🐄graze near by, only to be interrupted by the farmer 👨🌾or occasionally by a keen explorer. The first old farm cottage 🏚appeared to have been built around the mid to late 1800s, with the front extended much later and sadly to be left in ruin, filled with abandoned books and music tapes. The second farmhouse,🏚 once would have stood gracefully as a charming Federation build, with the blue stone chimney, base and then added later, the bungalow style pressed red brick veranda piers. Your explores are always intriguing thanks Paul. 😊

Hi Paul, I have some Danish ancestors with the name “Jutta”😊. There was a crocheted mouse likely made for a child, one blue granny square on the floor and a skein of yellow yarn on an overturned piece of furniture; I’m crocheting while watching and the yarn caught my eye! Also, while books and music were pastimes someone liked doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. Beautiful countryside but if no near neighbors and shops 40 miles away it could be a bit lonely. Now to see the next explore.

In life's history, the books people read transported them to any destination, state of mind or circumstance.. Now most of the books there would fit on a laptop hard drive. Music can invoke emotion, memory, and rekindle past time. One of my favorite movies is Cary Grant as an itinerant beach bum in "Father Goose" Something to see the simplicity of life without the modern trappings. Past preserved again in the recording of this reality Cheers.

Nice re-visit to an old explore I think of as the Book House. It was interesting to see it after a bit of time and under the different lighting conditions of an overcast rainy day. Perhaps re-visits can be something you do from time to time as it would be interesting. I can understand the many books I used to have a large collection until I just ran out of room and had to thin it out. I love to read. Too bad the other house was sealed up but it was still interesting. Love the country homes and the beautiful Australian landscape. Hi, Paul! That first place.... May have been nice at one time. The location was wonderful, but the layout of that cottage was awful, and it just looked like they added on with no thought or planning, and with whatever happened to be laying around. The 2nd house looked like it was a really nice home at one point. Great on the rancher for keeping his stock safe, and people from getting hurt. I;m also glad that you keep yourself safe and don't take stupid chances like some explorers. I would love to have your rain here. Could that depression have been a man-made pond? Our ranchers do that here for their cattle and sheep. I would live there in a second, as well. Thanks for both- SDK

You know that saying “Readers are leaders.” Lots of leaders in the first house. Altho right now the thought of being isolated like that in the country seems heavenly, I wonder if it would eventually get stressful. Must take a certain type of person to live like that. But it would sure be nice for the summer.

Hi! I moved from a lovely suburb in Minnesota in the mud sixties to a farm in Wisconsin u.s.a. . I never regretted it! But , yes it does take a certain type of personality from what I've seen over the years. These old places remind me so much of my husband's home place, 1883 home, addition 1886. It was a lot of work keeping it up, but so very worth it. I just love these Australian places! All the Adelaide ones ,thio break my heart. So much beauty and heritage lost.
