I feel like Georgia is CALLING ME ! Come.... come ...... So beautiful and I am in love with the red dirt ❤️ You are right Robert, that tree lined road is amazing. That Church looks untouched since the last day they closed the doors.....😢. I am always saddened to see vacant Churches. Thank you for another sensational, tranquil journey through your gorgeous State of Georgia.... life really does move slowly in the South compared to New York STATE! Hence the tranquil feeling ! Thanks!

I was going to comment on the fact that Cody is involved in this effort to bring the past back and take care of it. I think it's wonderful that a young person is involved in this effort and hopefully is interested in keeping the past alive. I commend him on his efforts and his respect of the past. I am a 78 year old great grandmother who was raised in the city but always had a great respect for the way of life that my parents and grandparents lived, basically in the country. In my younger days I was able to visit the cemeteries and old towns of the past. I took up genealogy about 1989 and enjoyed learning about my family and life in general back in "the" day. I only wish I could still walk the cemeteries and old country roads that I did in my younger days to learn more and appreciate the way of life people lived back then. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and stories you leave us with. Mary Head

I am always fascinated by what you call the false crypts - I have never seen one here in WI where I live like that. Also the large flat slabs that are used - again, have never seen anything here like that. The church was beautiful. I love old churches.

Beautiful area. My great, great grandfather was born in Murray county Georgia in 1855 (Charles Wm Keith) and his father Joel Keith was born in Habersham, GA in 1827. These early settlers were yeoman farmers who were close to the land. Seeing this video reminds me of that time and place. Thank you.

What a beautiful cemetery. I wish we could have gone through it and read more of the headstones. The window panes in that old church were fascinating. There seemed to be some windows older than others. Some of the windows were nine over nine, while others were six over six. The glass in the nine over nine looked very fragile. I love old windows. Love your videos Robert.

From the peak of extreme happiness of a wedding to the depth of sorrow of a funeral, that little church saw and heard it all. The little white church where my Daddy's funeral was preached in 1950 is gone now. In it's place are many, many huge house in so, so many subdivisions. I can fully appreciate now that Little White Church in the Wild Woods, a song from those days. As I grow closer to 74, when ever you show all this "times gone by" finds of yours, brings tears to my eyes while making my soul so happy to have lived that life, in "times gone by". BTW, even through the window, the inside looked really nice. Wish we could have been allowed to go inside. But alas...... Thanks for letting me ride along with ya'll on another GREAT country get-a-way!! 💖

This is an extremely beautiful video. I love old barns & am committed to painting on canvas ones I come across in Missouri as well as the wild flowers of this area but your video reminded me of the many trips I made into southern Georgia & could pick out old home sites because of a cascade of pink roses going wild at that time & the orange day lillies rivaling the display in their remembrance of those who had planted & cared for them so many years previous. In most cases the homes were like the one you documented settling into the ground or even further gone..apparent only if one noticed what had been a driveway into the place & a timber or two of the barn rising above the vines & brush. It was those trips that taught me what we do in our lives can live long after us in memorial even if we live simple lives away from urban rush & clamor. While watching this video, I also decided to save certain of your videos showing such buildings for the singular purpose of also documenting some of the more evocative barns & houses of south Georgia in oil or acrylic as well as those of Missouri. They will all be gone in a few more decades & those who come along later will have nothing to imagine the home sites of those who went before us perhaps only thinking those cascades of roses & swaths of daylillies are only wild occurences. (I already save many of your videos for sharing with friends & family or to re-watch as many of them do. These to paint from is just another category of my collection & it requires I review all your previous videos for other subject material.)

My best friend just moved to Idaho because her husband (who loves outdoor sports) couldn’t stand to be stuck in Georgia. Granted, they’ve sent back beautiful pictures from there but to me there really isn’t anything or anywhere any prettier than rural Georgia and Coastal Georgia. Quiet red dirt roads lined with blackberries and honeysuckles coupled with the summer humm of cicadas is like the most amazing thing on earth. I don’t think Yellow Stone could compare. Maybe that’s because I’ve never been there...but I just see so much beauty and peace in our home state. The outside world just sort of disappears when you go down an old dirt road.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful Georgia rural area. Would rather look a a country road than a busy city road any day. I wish you had spent more time at the cemetery, could you go back please. The church looks like it had a large congregation by the number of pews. Thank you Cody for putting the flags back. 🇦🇺🐨👍🏼💙❤️💙❤️

Cudos to Cody as said before me. I really appreciate your respect! I really wish that there was a method to preserve items like the buildings you have shown to us in this video. Makes me sad to think that one day they will be totally gone.
