Driving on this road reminds me of going to my families cabin in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan. Thanks for another great video. I really appreciate the upgrade to 4K also. Looks so nice.

The commentary mentions that the correct name of the cemetery is the Old Shiloh Cemetery. I found two death certificates that give the name as Shiloh Cemetery to confirm this. Shiloh Baptist Church was moved from this location to another on the Talbot/Taylor County Line. William Childs and his wife are buried in the grave house. Other Childs family members are buried in unmarked graves near there. Uhlan Mizell is the child of Charles Seaborn Mizell and Phronissia Priscilla Childs; she is a daughter of William Childs. Thomas Jefferson Childs, son of William Childs, is buried in the nearby Carter-Childs Cemetery. African-American names on headstones reflect their enslaved heritage. Drain is a respelled name of the Drane family; there is a Mathews-Drane Rd nearby. Tigner comes from a family that is buried in another nearby cemetery - Collinsworth Methodist Church Cemetery. The Leonard name comes from a very prominent Talbot County family who are also buried in Collinsworth Methodist Church Cemetery.

That Jeep is perfect for you! Great fun, exploring the past with you. Pine trees sure have replaced many of our native trees. It's a shame.

What I find most amazing is that only 30 years ago that was a functioning cemetery. The overgrowth, the leaves, the trees, make it appear as if it was abandoned 130 years ago, not 30

Cecil, Ploomer Linzey, spelled Plumer in the 1900 census, is a son of Eli Linzey and his wife who died before 1900. They also had daughters Jessie, Mary and Annie. Pleasant Glass was married to Melissa Reid according to their daughters death certificate on Findagrave. The daughter is Otis Glass Lewis buried at Tabernacle.

I grew up in Virginia with iron and sulfur water. We were the healthiest kids in the neighborhood! We were used to the taste and smell, but others didn’t drink it! Never had any illnesses nor acne! 6 healthy kids. Good stuff!!

Across England right now ,Older cemetery's are being desecrated by the followers of the false prophet in order to build their houses of worship. They are bulldozing grave sites where some of the headstones date back 5-600 years.

Not sure if ive ever told this story on this channel before i was lawncare for about 10 years one of my jobs was an old african american cemetary some of the graves dated back to time of slaves and some were more recent this cemetary wasnt overgrown just not well maintained i had to obviously mow the grass and get the leaves off the graves when it came time to blow the off the graves my (brand new by the way) crunk and stalled one time then wouldnt crank again try as i might i was never able to get that blower to crank again i checked everything and everything was good there was literally no reason for that blower to not start i wound up giving that blower to my brother he wasnt able to get it started either he said he checked everything on that blower to and couldnt find anything to make it not start im not a believer in the paranormal but i never mowed that graveyard again and havent been back to it

jAboout 20 years ago, when driving from Bowden, GA (either to get to Birmingham or LaGrange, GA) my husband and I saw a cemetery from the country road and stopped. There was a slab that had the story of a man who was trampled by a horse and then had his body unearthed and reburied in that cemetery. Thhere was another interesting story. I wish that I still had the pictures that I took. Have you ever come across that cemetery? It was probably in Carroll county.

Thank you for showing this historic cemetery. Chill young children died in the 1800s because of sanitation, the lack of it. No vaccinations and antibiotics were not invented until 19:45 and in the beginning it was expensive, and it was for military men only.
