Going to wear blackface and mock David of FA next since you mock Jesus who he believes in?
@davidbenmessiah9 ай бұрын
Didn't know you all hated Jesus to mock the last Supper like that. Do you just use Christians so you can mock their faith like Davids? So everyone is you bootlicking follower and wouldn't be anything but because of you, their messiah? Is that what you want all to think?

Damn man, I think this might be my new favorite Shadetree Surgeon "episode". The ups and the downs, the seriousness and the humor, it was all perfectly balanced. I'm sorry to hear your life has been stressful recently but you really put together a great video. It's much appreciated. Thank you. Have you considered making digital hard copies of your restoration bikes to give to the winner as like a bit of of a physical memento? This episode, recorded onto a VHS (autographed if you want to really spice it up) would be the perfect "certificate of authenticity" for the bike. Seriously, it's art.

my 46 years of shoveling you've been doing a great job on this bike, I use car washes too, got a tip for ya, go to harbor fright and get their chemical resistant spray bottles, fill one with kerosene, that stuff works better then any spray can engine cleaner out there, removes greasy oily muck quickly. Up here bout 50 miles north of Portland Or. I store bikes for the winter, to prevent oxidation and rust I mix 50-50 kerosene and 30 wt motor oil in one of those spray bottles, mist everything that will rust or oxidize, does good. just wash bike when ready to ride.

Great video... I've done that electrolytic cleaning of a tank a couple times and the result is great. I usually have to do the process 2-3 times. I rinse with vinegar to offset the PH from the baking soda and then a good rinse with gasoline. Big thanks Josh!!

Loved this video. That was pretty cool using electrolysis to clean the rust out of a tank. I totally agree with shade tree when it comes to washing a bike tail as long as you dry it, take it for a good ride after polish it up to make sure it doesn’t have any Hard water spots on it afterwards and you should be good to go as long as you don’t get water in the carburetor or in places where it really shouldn’t be. I also love a bike that’s been broken gives it character, sure I take a new bike but I’d prefer something that’s been ridden and has some kind of pet or some kind of look that somebody loved it. I’m the same with my bass guitar collection was boring and putting that first scratch on. Something really sucks. Plus, I’m also cheap. I’d rather save the money you get a bike that’s used and throw that extra money in that it would’ve cost into something else or a bunch of things. I signed up for harness as soon as forgotten angels let the new zone on shade trees channel not a fan of Harleys. Don’t like the color brown but I have to admit that’s kind of a neat looking bike, but I don’t care I do to help the kids unless it’s a triumph then I want it or a nice Honda, that would be amazing

That engine sounds great. Old Harleys have this sound I can only describe as "organic." It sounds like it's alive, not like a precision-made, computer-controlled machine. The Tour Glide looks amazing, too. It's wild to see something that old looking like an everyday normal thing. Like it didn't just get dug up out of a time capsule. I have a little pressure washer at home that I use to wash the bike. As long as you don't hose-out the exhaust pipe or the intake, what's the big deal?

The only time I saw an issue with a pressure washer was when some degreaser was used and it washed all the grease out of the wheel bearings. Rider complained of noise after it was washed, put it up on the jack and watched all the front wheel bearings fell out. Laughed my ass off so hard I couldn't help them lift it.

The only really bad thing about getting any v-twin engine… if they have been sitting for anything over 5 years…. Just remember.. that whole time.. one entire side of the valve springs have been completely compressed for that time sitting. Always good to know and maybe replace as well. They can sometimes sound just fine…. But with more wear and heat…. Could go boom! Haha
