Your Dad would believe it. So many times you both have recovered missing pieces that i am always in awe. You both have built some of the most beautiful bikes I have ever seen. Your Dad Waited Than You waited, I believe your Dad is still searching for you and helping recover the pieces. Old legends never die they grow stronger with each generation. I am in awe once again. Much respect.

I wish my father was alive to see your channel. He died in Feb 2020 at 93 . He rode and raced bikes here in Australia after WW2 in the late 40's to the 60's . After the war the was no parts available or very few and he and my uncle made everything themselves. My uncle was a fitter and turner and dad was an aircraft mechanic. I remember him telling me about turning aircraft valves down to fix his Indian and making gears . He made a intake manifold that would slide to different lengths so he could tune the bike for different situations and better performance. He rode Indians but his favourite bike was a 500 single Velocette he raced flat track with. I miss my Dad as I know you miss yours 😢

Just found your website. You’re just like your dad. I got to know him in the mid 80’s. The smartest man I ever met. He helped keep my old 74 sportster going. Love the signs in your shop. I grew up looking at those signs and visiting Your dads shop and museum every chance I got. You guys moving away was a big loss for this area. Great videos! thanks.

The fact that these tanks still exist, unmodified, not rusted out and not dented up is incredible. Also the engine, not blown up or scraped, what are the odds. Dale’s Wheels Through Time is the center of the old motorcycle universe and everything eventually returns to the center.

brilliant , your excitement almost flows out the screen , best find i ever had was when i went to view a 50cc yamaha for a young girl to go to college on here in the UK in 1987 , got talking to the seller and he said he had some old bike bits in the cellar , any where he goes in and came out with a AJS 7R racing engine with magneto anyway chatted some more told him if he wanted to sell it give me a call ,feel later he calls yes he wants to sell it how does £40 sound i bought it went over to collect it when i get there he says got some other bits and shows me the frame with swinging arm yoke and rear shocks attached how much i asked give me £40 he said so bought that too , ended up selling the engine to a AJS specialist who wanted it for the perfect rocker box to recast new ones and the rest to a classic restorer for a tidy profit that bought me a triumph tiger 750 and payed my truck licence lessons and test so idur to the higher wages from truck driving that little deal kept making money right up to 2010 when i quit driving and went as a contract mechanic with the US forces in the middle east over the next 2 years

Mate, I truly love the passion you have for this bike, and your trade. You can honestly see this vid isn’t made for likes, but to share the knowledge and love of your trade to the world. I’m a car guy, but do appreciate bikes. I have limited knowledge, but now I’ve stumbled across your channel, I’ve subscribed and will start checking out your back catalogue. I’m an Aussie, and my passion was the early Holdens (a GM product), from 48 to 62… The “Grey Motor” era. Focusing on rare accessories, but mainly, super rare performance parts. The excitement I’d have, receiving a rare, sought after item in the post, or stumbling across a pot of gold, after tireless hunting, following up leads, driving all over this tiny state I live in (Tasmania), was a truly wonderful feeling. I miss it. Thank you for reminding me how much fun it can be, opening a box and appreciating the gold within, that the other 99% would look at blankly. Keep up the brilliant work. Rob, Tasmania, Australia

Matt, your enthusiasm has me all caught up in the excitement! Love your videos! I know exactly what you mean by the tanks fitting and looking good, but unless they're official factory, they're just a nice duplicate of the originals! I know what I'm talking about since I rebuilt my '47 el Knucklehead way before the days of shopping online. Yard sales, swap meets, older established bike shops, word of mouth, and telephone calls was the only way to score those original parts! ❤ On a side note: my father-in-law "borrowed" my original vented gas cap for his Willys Jeep project... but not for long!!
