Hi! I'm brand new to Blender and as an old Keyshot user I'm having some troubles to actually get an ID pass render with plane colors. I see that you are using the override pass with ID, could explain with a little bit more detail which are the steps to get an ID pass with such bright colours?? Thanks a lot, amazing work btw

I know this is a year late but are you talking about the part at 3:17? He replied to a comment below with the following: "Its simple stuff. You have to create emission material with hue and sat node in color slot. Hue have to be controlled with Object Info node - Random slot. For render engine use cycles and there is override material option. Here choose FLAT material and its done. Sorry for my bad english. Its simple stuff. You have to create emission material with hue and sat node in color slot. Hue have to be controled with Object Info node - Random slot. For render engine use cycles and there is overide material option. Here choose FLAT material and its done. Sorry for my bad english. how were you able to move the textures around for the fortress assets?

Open project. Create a second window and set it to be material editor. Create a material that's simple an image texture plugged into the default materials base color. Grab your asset back in the main viewport, hit edit mode, hit A to select all faces of the model. Hit U to bring up unwrap menu, choose default unwrap. With all faces still selected, apply your default material you just created to the model via the material settings panel. It will paint randomly over all faces, but the object will be textured. Head over to the shader editor window and swap to the UV editor. Now whenever you select a face in the main viewport, you'll see the UVs for that face pop up over in the UV editor window (if you don't, see your texture, choose it from the image drop down box just to the right of the proportional editing button in the top menu of that window). Select them your UVs with a simple mouse drag, then move them around the texture to change which part of the texture paints that particular surface. Repeat for all relevant surfaces. Eezy peezy.

End result is a mess for the eyes and doesn't read well because the person making this doesn't understand composition, atmospheric perspective, colour & lighting etc. The focal point of this seems to be the rocks in the foreground?!?
