as a photographer who used to frequent glenn dale. i can say the main adult building is the scariest as far as activity. I've had lights cut out on me. my fully charged phone die. and one instance i had a really violent banging sound follow me throughout the building once i got near the body freezers. never really believed in paranormal activity until I started going there. and also, do wear masks when going there. never go at night. its way easier to get spotted with flashlights shining through the windows.

my friends and i love going here! theres usually no security in the little building, btw. my friends and i just walk right past and they dont say anything. if you wanna see something really cool, go down into the basement of the buildings. theres underground tunnels that connect many of the buildings, some of them are completely flooded with water, but others are actually maneuverable. one of the coolest places ive ever been!
@MrBulwer7 жыл бұрын
Wear water proof boots! NOT sneakers or regular shoes! If there's been heavy rains then expect water in the basement and in the tunnels. We're not talking about deep flooding but water proof boots is what you need! Good luck!
@MrBulwer6 жыл бұрын
When you say "flooded" do you mean inches of water or much much deeper? I think I found the entrance to one of the tunnels in the children's building but there was about 4 inches of water on the ground so I couldn't even get to the entrance. I'm guessing the tunnel was flooded also. Just how many tunnels are there connecting the children's building with the main building? Thanks!

Been there about 4 times over the past 2 weeks and everytime was a new experience. Almost everytime I went I somehow either saw or knew there were other explorers on the campus. The first time they were going down stairs and we were going up and I was scared shitless. Another time we heard voices, assumed it was security and got the fuck lol. I see slot of people saying security is heavy but if you know their system it's so easy to get in and out. I park on the back parking lot near the pond. There is a cut up the hill you can go up to get into the adult hospital but you have to be quick or you might get noticed. As we were coming back from the children's wing we saw a cop just waiting for the explorers inside to exit. The children's hospital is easy asf. Just sprint across the field. I even climbed the water tower
@CheMalik8 жыл бұрын
I wear a mask similar to a ski mask for 2 reasons. There is asbestos in the buildings and it's pretty cold. So I'd say wear a mask for the asbestos but not becuase of security. I only really know of 2 or 3 cameras. 1 is all the way in the back near the woods behind the kids buldiing. You have to be really dumb to set that one off. And then in the main hospital (the big one) there is a camera along the fence but if you follow my instructions earlier the fence that you will come up on is cut and all you have to do is sprint once you enter the concrete area and hop the window inside and you'll be good. As far as security although I see people saying it's heavy from personal experience I'd say it's light. They have a police temp infornt of the main building where they sit an unmanned police car. Don't be friengtened by that it's always there. Security doesn't come into the buildings but they will sit and monitor the entrance you came in if somehow they know your inside. I've seen this happen. Don't trip over security too much but while your outside do stay alert becuase they are there. That's how I operate and I've never been caught so I think I you'll be good

I went to forest Haven a few days ago. There's no security now. Just hard to hide from patrol on the road you have to take to get to the wood path. We just ducked in the woods next to the road. I spoke to other explorers we found and they said that no security rounds through so it should be a little easier to get into now for anyone wondering :)

Posted this elsewhere but I've been here before but this time, just recently, I tried to get in again, day time, but as I was walking through the forest I noticed the top of a police car parked across from the morgue entrance. I stopped and hid and waited about 25 minutes before leaving. My guess is they knew someone was inside but they will not go inside looking for you. Be aware there IS a motion detector mounted on a tree facing the morgue entrance! If you are thinking of going here DON'T use the morgue entrance. There is another entrance to the right of this entrance at the END of the building were you walk down a short stairway. You can be assured with Halloween coming up they will have increased coverage at this site. Use common sense and stealth! Be safe out there!

Yes, some of the abandoned asylums I've been to had police birds with heat seeking tech and then the police cars show up on grounds. Twice i left with warnings and was lucky (2 different places). Both kirkbride buildings. When they'd catch me I'd just be honest so they take names down with a warning. I didn't go back after. The other Kirkbride people are allowed (walking dogs, jogging) during the day.

JeffGuy Poe no I went to the abandoned tome school in port deposit Maryland instead. It's pretty nice there. Multiple buildings to explore
@MrBulwer6 жыл бұрын
I heard about the Tome school but never got a chance to check it out. Is it safe to explore? Is it off the beaten track? Neighbors near by? Appreciate your reply! Thank you! Jeff
@savp43576 жыл бұрын
JeffGuy Poe there's apparently security there, but when 4 friends and myself went, there was none. While we were there, there was about 30 other explorers there in all different buildings. There's roads connecting all the buildings, and we all were just walking along the road. There was no point in trying to hide or run. From what I saw there's no security. The other explorers there were breaking windows, screaming, and just being really loud. If there was any security, they would have heard us. To get to the tome school it's a rough hike. You have to hike up really fast due to everyone who drives by can see you, and potentially call the cops. When you get done the hike you have to walk around the first building, and from there on is a road leading to the other abandoned buildings. My friends said there's a hospital all the way down the road. We walked for about an hour trying to find it, and there was no sign of it. We just turned around due to it starting to get dark. If you want to go be prepared for a lot of walking Also, the buildings that aren't safe to explore have a sign on the front saying so. Most of the buildings I went in were hanging on by a thread. The floors are really really weak, so just be really careful

My friends and I went in there over last thanksgiving and got caught by the rangers. So many people say "There's no security there." but you should always assume there is security! That way you won't take chances and be lazy with your movements. I attempted to get in recently and while approaching the morgue entrance through the trees I saw the top of a police car parked there. Obviously they were waiting for someone to come out. They will not go inside looking for you. There IS security but the question is when are they there!

Those rooms with the refrigerator and sinks are called utility rooms. The refrigerated cabinets were used for specimens that needed to be kept cold until the lab picked them up, like urine samples. They would clean any soiled equipment or linen in the dirty utility room, and also store supplies in the clean room. Facilities still have them, but they are much more modern looking.

That's so sad. It sounds like a young spirit there at 1:50-1:51 - "I'm right here !" Is that a kid yelling in the distance at 2:53? It sounds like it's inside the building. A weird sounding spirit is asking "Who are you?" at 2:57. At 3:29 another spirit asks the other "How many are there?!" You ask what this room was for and the response at 3:36-3:38 was " Where I died in." 9:07-9:08 "way under there" At 10:05 a young spirit is saying " That's the price that you pay." "Are you dead?!" is a weird voice I hear at 10:11-10:12. Again at 10:15. As you zoom in on the dead animal I hear a young child whisper, "dead !" I think it's scooby-doo. Wha-wo. At 12:06-12:07 there's a "Help me !" Again at 12:24. Can anyone tell me what is said at 13:25? I'll have to watch the rest later. That's some fun adventure. Seems like it's seriously haunted.

For those of you that use the morgue entrance there is a motion detector on a tree across from the entrance. You can't see it until it's too late. When we looked out the second story window we could clearly see it. I think the only reason they didn't come after us is because there were people cutting the grass and they probably thought it was the workers setting off the alarm. Remember, it's directly across from the morgue entrance! Like Parker said, they won't come in looking for you, they just wait for you to come out. When visiting places like this use common sense, use STEALTH and be quiet! Be safe out there! SEE THE UPDATE AT THE END OF THIS THREAD!

Yes, the tunnels are good to use but bring a flashlight, a good one with fresh batteries! Did you go? How was it? Also if the tunnels are flooded you'll be walking in filthy water! But yes, if the tunnels aren't flooded use them!

POST UPDATE: I saw a recent video of the tunnels connecting the buildings and the water was up to the entrance! That is over 6 feet of water in the tunnels! Keep in mind we've had lots of rain in the past two years and the water has no place to drain! It just stays there! Don't plan on using the tunnels any more. Also, more people are being caught and charged with trespassing! Apparently due to all of the videos about this place more people are going there. Increased police presence, flooded tunnels, it seems this place just isn't fun anymore to visit. Be safe out there!

I went to high school in Prince George's County in the Bowie area and we used to go to this place back in 1991 when there was absolutely NO security. It was much creepier back then for some reason though. A lot more of all the buildings were a little more intact than they are now and the tunnels were flooded back then but not as bad as I imagine they would be now. There was still even hospital equipment and gurneys still strewn about in the early 90's. Maybe the creepy factor was because there was no development in the area just a dark spooky wooded road with not many homes and a street that you would park near called Elm st. Lol! How is that for a spooky factor?

Really confused why so many people are saying security is tight here. This place is literally one of the easiest bandos to get in. I've been several times. There's a way easier way in. Just scout it out and do your research people lol

What would happen, if they caught you guys? I mean, there are definetely laws against this sort of things, but I wonder what kind of punishment is for this in your country.

I think the videos are OK, considering that you had to hide from the police. A couple years ago, I drove up Glendale Road and parked in front of the Nurse's dormitory and looked across the street at the adult building. I collected a lot of information about the place. I started reading about TB about 5 or 6 years ago after I saw something on TV about the Waverly Hills sanatorium. Check out this webpage I made here sciliterature.50webs.com/TB.htm

Just read that this place was closed down for asbestos. You guys seriously should have gone in with respiratory protection and gloves at the very least.

+josue ovalle I don't think it's a good idea to wear masks in these places because it makes you look sketchy and that's my decision

This place still housed patients until the 80's. As for all the claims of it being haunted, nothing there but asbestos and rats. Pretty dangerous place to go poking around, because of asbestos not to mention all of the structural damage. Cool video though.

I went over the summer to this hospital and it was at night time I'm went with three friends It was pretty cool we saw No police when we entered we didn't see no sensors and we probably did make them go off we ran through three buildings and that creepy house down the hill we didn't get to see most of the property because it was starting to get late at night but it was a nice experience
