I worked there. I was there that night They shut down. I was devastated. Still not over losing my job. I loved working there. And I love all rhe friends I made there. They said they closed because the lease wasn't renewed. It was a lie. The company filed bankruptcy and slowly one by one all locations are shutting down like this. Not telling their employees either. -Meagen from Niles.

Non-payment of rent? That's funny. We had an Old Country Buffet (same company) not far away from me that closed for the same reason. I guess they don't like paying rent! Haha

Both Hometown Buffet locations in Wichita, KS closed, but I'm not sure why (probably nonpayment of rent). Real shame, it was good food.

Back in the 70s and early 80s Warren was as close to paradise as one could get. Yeah, you might have had petty theft and fist fights, but murder was foreign to us. Even as the bodies piled up in Cleveland and Youngstown, which is only 14 miles away. My street, Homewood WAS paradise. Everyone had JOBS, we had around five white families who were like family and we never robbed or fought each other. Now its nothing but death. Even my own daughter was murdered. Jobs left, crack came then heroin was nail in the coffin. RIP, Warren...MY WARREN💔💔💔💔💔

Was terrific buffet restaurant,but truth be told buffet restaurants are having a tough time surviving the new economy.To feed the gang there can be expensive,but it goes both ways too.Also have too many gangs of human trash(Mommas)going to these places with zip lock freezer bags in oversize knockoff designer handbags and filling up those AND their bellies with the most expensive entrees @ these places with kids running around and leaving huge mess behind.And to top it off leaving little or no tip for wait staff making staff turnover even worse.Think it's reaching a point buffet type restaurants will be a thing of the past after witnessing this behavior myself @ Hometowns and Golden Corrals restaurants in Macedonia,Elyria and Maple Hts.thus not surprised to see this in Warren too.Can't pay the rent when too many"customers"are eating A LOT AND walking out with"takeout"too.As for me when I'm out that way eat @ Alberini's or the famous Hot Dog Shoppe in downtown Warren.👌
