House X. There were so many uncertain things about this house and it`s location and why it is abandoned......There was something sad about this house. After leaving this house I could not stop thinking about it and I do not know why.

Hey Marilou thanks for watching :-) I was recently back in this area and there was a 4x4 parked up near the front door, perhaps someone is now going to do something with it :-) Yes I would have open the other side windows too if needed for the bird to make it out :-)

I have watched many videos of abandoned places with people complaining about the spider webs and you are the only one that had enough smarts to bring in a stick to clear out the spider webs. I love the house.

Hey Patricia thanks so much for watching and your comments. Haha yes in a few of my videos I have my spider web stick! I`m quite tall and seem to find them if i do not clear them when i see them. In the summer in the long grass it is good to have a stick and tap it out in front of you on the ground because if there is any snakes that are lurking they will hopefully try and go the stick first. :-)

Awh my mum had that carpet in her hall stairs and landing.. The one in their hall. Loved the marble in the en suite. Such a long house, it's meant to be unlucky if a bird or frog comes into your house or so ive been told. Pity there's no history with it. Cheers.

This is a really nice find. I hope that someone buys it and fixes it up before it gets too bad. It seems to have a lot of bedrooms and common areas. It looks like it's in a very rural area so maybe it could be for a large family, a small elderly care home, housing for developmently disabled people, shelter for abused women/children maybe, thanks for the explore.

Definitely an old peoples/assisted living home, it’s huge! Reminds me so much of big South African bungalows with the deep windows and lots of light. Would make a nice B&B actually. I didn’t get a creepy feel from this place to be honest, more a bit forlorn and needing life in it again! Great explore and thank you for letting the bird out!

The house doesn't need to be destroyed. The spirits need to be asked to return to the light. A proper cleansing and blessing and she would be just fine. As a "magnet" I have helped many because they sense my perception. They are just lonely and confused not evil.

Hi Paul. I watched this six months ago and then had another look today. I agree with the sadness you felt. I think it’s because people get old and death is near and one just doesn’t want to leave this earth. One is leaving the familiar for parts unknown or just a Black Death. There were so many hopes and prayers here. Oh and yes the spiderweb stick could only be utilized from someone like you raised in the country. 😻Hi to Nicolai! 😻

Maybe there were some deaths associated with it......thus the sad feelings. Thanks for re watching, and Nicolai says meow! haha :-)

Actually this home looks very much like The shelters for battered women or possibly an unwed mothers shelter back in the 1970s. But this was not a sad home. They cared enough to take their personal belongings. Seems like they packed and moved on and left the heavier pieces behind. I was happy not to see toys, photos, books, personal items, etc.

Definitely could be restored. Loved all the french doors and bet the whole house had hardwood floors underneath the carpet (am a huge fan of wood floors and the "timbered" ceilings I see in your videos of older abandoned homes there). Group home for the aged, eh? Pretty nice compared to what I've seen here and big need for that in the US, is there too? Am I to assume too isolated for services such as medical, etc? Curious why abandoned. Thank you for the lovely tour. Very nice video!

Cool huge home, a shame doors were not at least shut to keep animals & bugs out. The intermittent music & still shots are nice. One bathroom had handicapped bars for the tub/shower, made me think the owner may have been elderly & deceased. Maybe no family wanted to keep it up or sell it. The yard looked large & would have seen a lot of life there w/family & friends over the years. Thanks & keep on keepin' on! 👍

Three years later and I am just catching up. I wondered why you were so quiet and fast through this one. Were you freaked out? It did feel spooky . Maybe just because it was so huge and almost cavenous and like a rabbit warren of small rooms and that never ending hallway. My thought is 30's original house with 70's Bessabrick built on and some 80's touches.Quite mysterious, left to rot, it seems. A shame. looks like it could house three families.

Yep it is happening more and more....Cities are expanding and country farming communities shrinking......I grew up in country Vic in between Ballarat and Warnambool and slowly over the years the towns sporting teams and schools had to start combining and joining other zones as the population and interest in local declined......Thanks for that information and for watching Evelyn

Easy mystery to solve mate, just jot down the physical street address and visit the local tax office who will give you a lot and block number for the property, then you can find out if property taxes are current and if they are who the owner of record is, then simply contact them and ask details. If the owner of record is a lending institution or it is a tax seizure property get busy and put in an offer, because it looks like it would make a easy flip ;)

This house made you sad because it was just left. What could make someone just leave their home like that? If the bank took it away then why wasn't it sold to someone else. It leaves you with such uncertainty. So sad. It looks like it wouldn't be that hard to fix back up to usable again.

Hey Carrie G thanks for watching! Yes it is strange but I was able to find out that this was last used as an aged care facility and abandoned around 2010. It may fall on the larger property of a farm that has no intention of doing anything on the repairs and upkeep so here it sits. Sad indeed, could be a big happy home for a big happy family :-)

Wow. Just wow. A few cosmetic fixes and a new roof and insulation up there (the ceiling staining in the room that leads to the sliding doors and patio looks like critter pee) and that place could be totally livable! Amazing property, too. I would imagine it being in the more arid section of Australia. Yeah a bit more roof damage in the section of the old light sconces and some foundation settling. But other than the wicked ugly carpet not too much needs to be changed. Look at all the storage in that kitchen. It is a cozy wee kitchen. But all that natural light. Oh, I could love that house if I had the dosh. And since there is traffic noises it isn't too far from some sort of civilization. What a beauty. With all the housing needs world wide it is such a shame so many lovely places sit vacant. Have you seen this one more recently? Is she still there? Thanks for the explore and noticing an improvement in your camera techniques since then as this is 2 yrs old. Thanks for sharing, mate.

Hey Kimmie I was able to find out that this place was an aged care facility. If you watch the intro there is the name "Newbrae" on the front of the home which is a chain of aged care facilities. I`m going to dig up some more on it but it would be fair to say some elderly people would have died in this facility over the years.

Thanks for looking it up. You're probably right about some people passing on there if it was an aged care facility. It just creeps me out because at each turn you took while recording I kept expecting to see something jump out in front of you or see shadows of someone who's "not there" if you know what I mean? You are a brave person to go in to the place like you did. I'd be high tailing it out of there, lol.

Hi Tom, I noticed those things too. Especially the light switches. It's so interesting to see how homes are built in other countries. I'm guessing Nick is in Australia.... Also, so interesting how the bathroom, the toilet that is, is often in it's own room, outside of the house itself. I'd hate to have to walk outside to use the bathroom, but there is usually always one of them inside as well. This outside toilet idea is great for when you are outside doing dirty work, like yard work, and you have muddy boots, but don't want to track mud to the inside. It's really a great idea!

The history of those who lived there could be much more interesting than the building which is pretty run of the mill if a little larger. Yes sadness. Why was it abandoned - death in the family, divorce, some family feud over a will unresolved ?

Oh I agree with Christine T wouldnt it make a fabulous refuge fore women and children..all of those acres for the children to play in, trees to climb etc. There should be a law in this day and age where you are not allowed to leave houses vacant. If someone dies and there is no family the shires/councils should be able to sell them or refurbish them for that kind of purpose, not make money out of them.... thanks for the viewing...cheers from the west

Well, I got the age right. It was very cheaply built out of Brick-o-block...no brick or siding but would be very sturdy. A lot of people would build a bare bones home then add the aesthetics as they could afford it. It may have lived its last years as a home for the aged but I don't believe it started that way. Singular garage ( not so many families had more than one car in the early 60's). Covered carport in front pf the garage was very common. The carpets were of at least two different decades. In the 70's there was a "heavy duty" KITCHEN carpet that would have been perfect for a lot of wear and tear and possibly wheelchairs. It is a puzzle.

Cynthia I think you have nailed it. There were many old sheds in the back that suggested farm homestead as they were filled with old machinery and furniture. Perhaps this home replaced the original homestead and the sheds and other small huts remained as was. I did notice the big brick blocks too, very lego like! It was last used in 2009 from what I have found.
