Thanks for transporting me far away from the States this evening . . . Much rather see this cool house than watch the appalling news. Couldn't get over how clean everything looked, especially that cream tile in the bathroom (wish mine looked that shiny right now 😳). No creepy vibes whatsoever . . . Looks like if the roof could be fixed, someone could live there again in short order. The built-in bookcases are to die for, and the wood trim would really go with all these popular neutral decorating schemes. Found myself wishing the vid was longer 🤗👏🏼

Very nice find. Great wood floors nice rooms. Some,nice furniture left behind. I like the layout of this house. Not too much damage or graffiti yet. It looks like you could just move in to this lovely home. It has some age yet not too old. I hope someone finishes up the repairs and moves in. It is a mystery why a family isn't enjoying this house. This house was loved and taken care of by the original family. Its sad its alone and empty. I would love a house like this great bones. Great explore.

Hi Heather, I agree with you it is such a waste considering it is very livable. Maybe people from interstate own these type of homes and never ever have maintained. .........Thanks for watching :-)

Nice place, practically ready to move in to, have to fix that leak though. They have even left me a bed & a nice blanket to wrap around me & a painting to look at. I think I could make myself quite comfy there. Thankyou for sharing your visit. Had some nice features. I like stained glass & those iron fire surrounds & the old stove of course. Bet thats seen some hot dinners. That sheepskin rug could be washed. You just do it gently by hand, outside, wash the pile & just wash the actual skin over with a wet cloth & do not leave it soaking. Do it on a hot day to get it dry quick.

Wonderful video, keep up the good work.

Gorgeous fireplaces! Oh wow!!! The stove!!! It's def an older home. High ceilings. It appears to be worked on by the owner or hired handyman. I'm thinking more was revealed as they worked on it. My first thought was the roof. Maybe water damage in various places caused more damage than first thought. Those wood floors are pretty as is the older framing around doors and doorknobs in places were older. I don't think this house would be vacant had repairs not been way costly. Thank goodness you found it in the state it was then. Really enjoyed your find!
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Jan thanks for watching and your comments on this home :-) Yes the roof unfortunately is taking water in which is a shame because the floors will rot soon if no one continues repairs. The house is in good condition mostly and it makes me wonder if it was sold to an interstate buyer who is not able to tent to it and they are just waiting for the land price to rise. Bit of a mystery!
@olivaddavilo96146 жыл бұрын
The former residents were very tall, judging by the height of some of the doorknobs (most likely there's some other logical explanation). At 2:04 there's what appears to be a framed floor plan of a house. Would have been nice to have seen it up close.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Apparently the high door knobs is something we inherited from our English friends where the keys were far easier to find their way into the locks while holding a candle. hehe :-) Also so children could not reach them. Thanks for watching Olivad. :-)

HEY COOL ! AT--5:13-- I know it was probably only brush from the outside maybe if that IS a window, BUT while watching your video again I looked to the right at--5:13-- and didn't know if that was a bath room & maybe a reflection on the mirror of some person or whatever. If it's an outside window it's most likely brush but doesn't it look kind of creepy any way?. I still remember the bit in the car port or garage video part which did sound alot like EVPs.
@talindakelley1896 жыл бұрын
That sure looks like someone there! That is too creepy. 😬😬
@stevenmyers76765 жыл бұрын
GhostCity Shelton It's an outside window to the bathroom. And, like most renovated bathrooms, this one is opaque, and you can't see through it. It does look odd, though. Shadow is kind of big for a head, and it has no movement. We could see from another window that the house is very close to its neighbor. All in all, unlikely someone trying to see in that window when there are clear windows to look through. It does give one a start when first noticed.

I am so happy you found this half repaired house. I assume it’s in the location of the recent abandoned homes We all concluded it was structural damages. This I noticed the repairs to be on upper wall across from kitchen mainly ceiling and upper parts. As you were showing the other rooms an area of crown molding had a fractured appearance from ceiling as did the other few previous abandoned homes. I would check the sparkling smell
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Happy wife! :-) Great tip for smelling the gap filler and I did not even think to do so but as you said due to some cobwebs still being across the rooms it has been a while since the patch ups. And that leak in the roof would be one they would have not missed because those leaks lead to the ceilings collapsing and water to start rotting everything! I hope someone does something with this home because it will end up like that if not. 2007 seems a long time for a very livable home to sit there like a mystery.........Thanks for watching :-)
@ghostcityshelton93786 жыл бұрын
Urbex Indigo. It seems that the roof damage we saw in the hallway was fairly new or we would have seen black mold. Still there could be extended roof leaks we haven't seen. Like you said, once the water damage starts, if not get fixed quickly, bye, bye building. 😢😭

@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
No worries David, glad you enjoyed. Would like to show the brick exterior but I would hate to give any clues to potential vandals on it`s identity. David Brown The Stig is a character on the British motoring TV show: 'Top Hear The Stig's primary role is setting lap times for cars tested on the show. The Stig: The character is a play on the anonymity of racing driver's full face helmits, with the running joke that nobody knows who or what is inside the Sitg's racing suite. (Wikipedia)

This is the type that's fun for me, I can theorize! My visualization is this was an old abandoned home that was pretty wrecked, but a retired handyman picked it up for a song because he saw that old stove/fireplace and some other details in the craftsmanship, fell in love with it all, and saw some real potential. He decided since he was getting up in years, this would be his last project, a full renovation, and where he would live out his sunset years in pride of what he had done with the place he now lived in. As it neared completion, his meager life savings nearly spent out, tragedy struck. He was older than he felt. It was his time, but he died happy. Fiction.. or not?!? Yeah, life is sad.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Wow! That is a good enough explanation as to why this sits in the limbo state it does! Maybe the children or someone interstate inherited it and they not here do do anything to it! :-)

Put a new roof on the house, fix some mold because of the water damage & clean up the yard and that place would be a very nice place to live ! I hope the house can be saved. Strange that it was left opened. Maybe someone down on their luck was trying to fix it & didn't have a key to the place or the $ to change a lock & was arrested by the cops, who knows. If left opened it's only a matter of time before spray paint vandals will do their thing. Very nice job filming!!! That stove was something, very nice. It needs help not to keep rusting. Seems that home has been around awhile.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey GhostCity Shelton The good thing is I actually locked it on the way out as it had an auto lock mechanism latch. So hopefully it can last another 10 years or when ever someone returns or buys it. Hopefully soon before the leaky roof gets bad and collapses the ceilings. Maybe there is a chance the owners live in another state and never ever have the place maintained? Who knows but it is a shame it`s sitting doing nothing......
@ghostcityshelton93786 жыл бұрын
Urbex Indigo. Very nice of you to lock up before leaving & to further help keep the house safe by not saying where it was. JUST A THOUGHT...If there are any phone books say in that town that might have the homes listed address & you might find an owner? If it has a library with history on land ownership maybe the house owner's name would be on it.

You might ck land records at a library to see if they'd know who may have owned the house. Or maybe a phone book in the area might list a name, owner of the home. ( Like I said below where you were so kind enough to get back to me.)
@anaixtar67936 жыл бұрын
There is a mystery here- though it certainly looks like somebody has been active in this house much more recently than 2007. . I think you're on the right track when saying it looks like someone was trying to effect some repairs... but they don't look professional... more like the work of a owner/landlord. ..... and for whatever reason they quit. Did they run out of money, ambition, or maybe found something too costly to repair- like the roof? Once a roof goes like that and you have water damage coming down thru the ceiling the $$ signs start to really flash.... its anyone's guess what the attic space looks like. . Nice house, all the same. . The unlock'd doors are strange but they probably haven't been unlocked for long.... the vandals just haven't had time yet to hit this one yet, is all..... A picked lock? (I'm very good at it...lol).. or an old lock that a skeleton key could fit--? ..... :) . The cooking range in the kitchen alcove really says this house is older than it initially looked-- neat stove!... as is the coal burning fireplace. . Thank you for posting this...I honestly can't figure anything more out about it.... :)

Would've like to have seen the outside of this one to get an idea of the age. That Metters stove was pretty. My guess is that it was rented out, the landlord made some repairs but the tennants moved out for whatever reason. Does it look like it's in an area where the house will get demolished?
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Nessa V :-) I did not really want to show the outside because it has remained untouched by vandals and I would hate to give any clues to any potential vandals on how to identify it. Mostly because it is a mystery and i`m not sure it is doomed for demo. It is right next to a storm water channel like others ones that have massive structural damage. This seems to be a trend with these abandoned/vacant places.
@nessav72586 жыл бұрын
Fair enough, maybe the back of the house if possible and if you agree? By the sounds of it if others have damage then it might be suffer the same fate.
@ghostcityshelton93786 жыл бұрын
Urbex Indigo. Nice job at protecting the home. If it is by other damaged homes maybe someone will fall in love with it & maybe they'll have it moved & saved. Hope so. In Texas people buy homes that need work for a small sum, they move it or have it moved then fix & resell. The new owner has to move it to their land. There's a show on TV about it.

I hope you tried to lock the door that was left unlocked such about to see such a beautiful house abandoned. would love to live in such a period house.

What's with the high doorknobs? Is that standard there?
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Apparently the high door knobs is something we inherited from our English friends where the keys were far easier to find their way into the locks while holding a candle. hehe :-) Also so children could not reach them. Thanks for watching :-)

I was wondering about the vents up towards the ceiling, I’ve heard you point them out in other houses. Are they fresh air vents for the warmer months? Surely they aren’t for heating since the main source for heat is the fireplaces or a stove and there would have to ducts in place spread the heat. Am I correct or way off base? I live in the US and have lived in more than a few places that were heated by a central stove, but I have never seen vents like these in this country.

I would be at the municipal offices trying to to find out if then house belonged to anyone of if it was available to purchase. If only I was wealthy, I would buy old houses like this, restore them to their former glory. This is the history of your country.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Vanda, yes it would be great to know but I`m only interested in what the homes look like and whats left behind. The mystery is sometimes the best part. :-)

hey. how old do you think this house is? it may have got to much for someone to keep fixing it up. another nice home, thanks for sharing.
@urbexindigo51645 жыл бұрын
Hi Vicky, good question and I wish I could have shown the front but did not want to risk local identifying it as that has happened before lol. But as a guess I would put it around 1920-1930 as it is a Californian bungalow style. Thanks for watching :-)

Do Australian houses not have basements?
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Hey Bob TK great point and as a rule no Australian homes have never really had basements or attics. Some very early homes would have a basic seller to keep food cool but attics and double stories were never really done before the 1900`s most likely because of the extremely hot summers we have. Thanks for watching :-)

Hey PoliceChaplain Misty yes I sure do believe. Just had another look at this and someone else has spotted this also but to me it looks to large for a human face. Here is a link to my other channel which is dedicated to investigating hauntings :-) kzbin.info/door/QjIGCYi-49a3jnJMYMWEUw

@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
I wish I could let you Louise but unfortunately this home is a mystery and I have to keep it that way. Thanks for watching. It is a real shame houses like this are sitting doing nothing!
@lostlonelyturtle6 жыл бұрын
I don't think shame is the word I would call it. I literally can't afford to rent any house or unit that I can find and am constantly wondering if I will end up homeless. But don't worry, if that happens I'll find my own abandoned house.
@urbexindigo51646 жыл бұрын
Your right Louise it is ridiculously illogical/irresponsible/greedy and a waste to have livable homes not being utilized. It is the system that will not let anyone have anything for free or without debt. Debt is control and free homes mean less control. If I ever end up homeless I will certainly seek out one of these home and use it. This is what homeless people already do. Sorry to hear your situation and it is becoming more and more familiar. Stay safe and stay positive. :-)

I watched the video but it does not take long for others to figure out where this home is. You found it and so will others. It would be nice if people could enjoy these abandoned places as others do. Great video though.

Ohh ghost. Your right ! I’m in the Southwest US and it’s so HOT ,we don’t get mold..I live halftime in Seattle , they get a plenty of mold spores are visible (if disturbed) and moisture is everywhere!! Also,I’ve seen fleas up in entire Seattle and suburbs. The old houses left on The Sounds many abandoned homes are being reclaimed by nature soooo fast..mold is a constant in all these old wet places,as are roots vines trees ,,Since I am a pet lover, I chose to investigate why the abundance of fleas, so many lil jumpers, they close parks to spray the grass😱😱 I have started following your site and Rodents droppings seen in most your abandoned places ... Well ,now aware mice 🐁 rats 🐀 are the form of transportation for the Fleas! I’m now looking at these vid’s and went backwards on your channel rodents poo= disease and mold ,I am worried for you my favorite explorer 😃There’s mold in so many homes you enter.
