Abandoned Locomotives in Poland - Part 3

Hello everyone,
On Lawrie's last trip out to Poland he went exploring in an industrial estate in Bydgoszcz where there were rumoured to be a number of abandoned locomotives - so join him as he goes for an explore!
Permission was granted before entering any private property.

Ooh, another episode of Lawrie's adventures in Poland.

That Lyd2 is an export version of the romanian L30H made by FAUR Locomotive Works (former 23 August Locomotive Works). Poland has also other romanian export versions of diesel locomotives, for narrow gauge there is also L45H known as Lxd2 (FAUR built) and for standard gauge there is LDE 2100 known as ST43, built by former Electroputere Locomotive Works.

Rails left in the road are rather common, they aren't usually removed unless the road is resurfaced. Until recently there were some examples in my area, down side streets and industrial yards, that had lasted over 50 years. There may still be more of them, I'm not sure if they removed the segment under the bridge downtown.

I feel like you could still make some sort of museum display out of a lot of no-hoper locomotives like that 0-8-0, even if you can’t really restore them

I wonder if that Kolzam WM-10 draisine (the track workers vehicle you forgot the name of) would be small enough to fit inside the British loading gauge if you took it home?

It actually looks larger than most American ones (usually called speeders or motorcars) that I've seen, aside from one or two particularly massive examples that can hold about a dozen people

That loco showed on 4:50 might be Wls40 or WLs50, they were used usually as a brickyard engines, or for similar type of work. They were manufactured from 1951 to 1975. It's Vmax was slow, which was 15-17 km/h. And there sadly my knowledge about that loco ends, tho if you guys want to know more about Wls40/50, there should be wiki page about that loco, and few other sites with some interesting things about it.

That huge narrow gauge diesel loco is already told to be Lyd2 manufactured at FAUR Romania. Fun fact about this - it's the biggest diesel loco that was ever operated on 600mm gauge in Poland. Now there are two still running in Żnin, which I recommend to visit. There is 12 km long railway of 600 mm narrow gauge. And in the middle of trip, at Wenecja there is a nice museum of narrow gauges with quite a big collection of steam, diesel engines and many passenger and freight cars.

Maybe you should try and save what's left of the 080 locomotive or the deisel plate layer locomotive

That rail service car looks a bit like the Soviet AGMu series models... I'm very vaguely familiar because I've lately been watching a lot of post-apoc game longplays, and the service railcar from __Metro: Exodus__ is based on the AGMu series.

That Śląsk is just dead right there. That Lyd2 is a little bit better, but certainly much worse than locos at Mława. My city had one, it had no engine, and it came to Jędrzejów after the railway was liquidated. That little diesel is a Wls40/50 or Ld1, though that designation is unpopular. The tracklayer is a Wm-10, all were built by Kolzam in Racibórz.
