My mother and some of her family used to work here. She rememberd seeing patients coming into town to do there shopping on market day she was a child then.

@Fledurbanexploring, Even though it's almost 2am, and had some drinks, I watched the BBC documentary. What difference from then to now. And one time they wanted to there was turn it into flats in there. I worked in neurology, so I understand some psychiatric behavior. The UK was just about the same time of getting rid of them here in US asylums. Now there's not much left of them. There demolishing them now. Like the Kirkbride asylum. That actually did a movie there b4 it mostly torn down now.

Another brilliant explore mate. Some pretty impressive graffiti in there. Asylums always seem to have a certain "vibe" to them. Just hard to imagine what might have been going on in there back when it was in use.

They wanted to turn it into luxury flats then a hotel , in the end they ran out of money and left to the elements and stupid little clones like the ones we saw in this vid " wearing shorts ""
