Hi Cody, I'm a viewer that doesn't usually comment, but I gotta tell you; how you filmed this video was really neat. You started from the drone shots, giving us a rough overview of the entire building. You then moved into the building, filming its entrance, then the corridors and finally into the rooms. Ultimately giving a really unique beauty to your video. Cheerz.

Great video Cody and the drone intro was fantastic! What a grand and amazing establishment that must have been. I kinda half expected you to come across squatters 'cause it definitely looks like some have been there. If I was homeless there that penthouse suite would be mine! HaHaa! This is absolutely one of your best videos, every aspect is bang on. Keep up the great work.

I don't know why people don't reopen these places
@arcMexi7 жыл бұрын
Two-Face because the investment would be massive, often times is more expensive to renovate than to build from cero. plus, I guess they did their market research and realized what they would get into

It's too bad seeing that huge hotel abandoned. Apparently it was one of the biggest hotels in Japan at one point. In the early days of Japan's post war economic boom, lots of resorts and hotels opened up. Eventually though as the country got richer and it was easier to travel overseas people preferred to go to Hawaii, Guam, Thailand etc. This island is still popular, but not enough people visit to support this big hotel. Also once the Japanese economy slowed, people don't spend as much money as before. For example there used to be a massive indoor wave pool at another resort in Japan, but it cost too much to run so it had to shut down :-(
@museluvr7 жыл бұрын
The cost to renovate over a complete tear down/build new is the main reason. Just a shame things go the wayside all over the world. I think whomever acquires this land and does tear the hotel down, should take key points of the architecture beauty and honor it somehow.

If you're ever in need of Christmas decorations find your nearest abandoned dwelling and you have a pretty good chance of finding a box filled with abandoned decorations and knick knacks, at least a 67% chance depending on the age of the dwelling and local foot traffic in the surrounding area.

This must have been a very elegant and luxurious hotel. I mean even, it used to be a set in an old James Bond movie or something like that? Some old Hollywood movie? I've seen the building before. But it's been a long time. But it may also be that the rooms were changed to luxurious for the shoot. Like I said, it was a long time ago and I mean it was more of a classic movie. The hotel must have been fairly new then.
