You guys MUST protect your breathing in those old buildings. Mold, asbestos, decaying materials, all will harm your health. Obtain some good quality face covers (in the US we call them "respirators"), then record a voice-over narration edit later. Awesome videos!

wanketta is absolutely right and the damage can be insidious-one may not manifest any disease for years. You guys may be strong and healthy now, but aging happens to us all (if we're fortunate)-that's tough enough-and aging with a chronic, debilitating disease is doubly hard. You're young but not invincible! Be safe! Wonderful video, by the way.

PUTE ISLAMIQUE That makes no sense. What does her name have to do with anything? What does a summer camp have to do with anything? People don't wear respirators at summer camp, hell its not even legal to have children in a home in such conditions, let alone a damn summer camp. The government health agencies would have a fit! I can't say with certainty that your statement was intended to be insulting, because it has no logical relevance which could be a sign of a language barrier or low intelligence level, but if you were intending to be an ass, you really suck at it. Mocking a name? Lmao What are you, 8?

Seeing a place like this leaves me in awe, and a little sad. I live in the States, and restore old houses. I love to bring them back to life and see family's enjoy them. It brakes my heart when owners let the roof go. Nothing destroys a house faster than a leaking roof. I hope they sell this, before it becomes to far gone to restore. Thank you so much for taking the time to film this.

I relate. Been to an abandoned small island. The empty houses, open doors, no windows .. empty shops, worship buildings... couldn’t help feel deeply within. Used for prior to indoor plumbing. Also used in Sick rooms. I saw no kitchen was there none? Also I agree with Asankaw1, move the camera slowly, it will focus better and we can see what your filming. Otherwise. Ask befor trespassing. In the USA it could get you shot.

***** That is where you are wrong nvsbl2...For example Nebraska has what is nicknamed "kill your neighbor' law. A person has the right to used deadly force to protect his/her family and property from theft and in the event of threat of physical harm or death. A case in point. Back in 1989 ( I think that is the date) a farmer has a barn that was broken into often. He stored antique cars there and often parts were stolen off of those cars. His insurance company said he needed to take action to protect his property or they would no longer cover him. So he set up a shotgun at the door. If the door lock were broken off and the door opened the shot gun would shoot the person coming into the building. This is exactly what happened. A person did indeed break the lock and when opened the door got hit in the chest with bird shot from the gun. He later died in the hospital. The court found the land owner guilty of justifiable homicide Which is the only law you do want to be found guilty of. So the farmer went home scott free. However the wife of the robber sued the farmer for wrongful death. Saying in the law suite that her husband now being dead was no longer able to provide for her in the fashion that she was used to. She won in court and the farmer had to sell all he owned to pay the debt. Is that fair? No its not. But that is the law. So you see there are laws in states that DO allow for shooting robbers of property and not a threat of life and limb.

It was very difficult to see much because you were planning your camera so fast most of it was just a blur... I loved the shot of the beautiful stove and fireplace you showed us!!! I would have enjoyed seeing more about that stove and the marble inlay of the mantle!!! 😉 You mentioned that there were a lot of paintings and pictures in this old house... I caught a glimpse of a photo on the wall I would have liked to have been able to see it better. As always, thank you for sharing this adventure with us but please, next time maybe pick just a couple of rooms and take your time giving us lighted detail of all your finds!! I would have loved to have seen more of that marble mantle and the very ornate stove that was there, and also The woodworking on the closets, chairs and beds!!!! Thanks again, Cutie's !!!! I noticed one of you smoking...when you're in a building that's 100 years old or more, the very last thing it needs is a spark or hot ash landing on some old dried papers/books. Maybe the house is old but it has modern plumbing, central steam heating and .ca 1940s electrical wiring. The old style light switches can easily be seen. Clearly inhabited well into the 20th Century.
@MrDBarch
@MrDBarch 5 жыл бұрын
actually, that wiring and those switches were far older than the 40s. i would suggest about 30 yrs older than that, probably around circa 1910 1915.... wires were inside the walls by the 40s, and dbl switches had been invented and were widely used as a standard. the reason those wires are on the outside, is because that house was built before electricity was used indoors, and it was added at an early date, minimally. thats how they first started to install electricity in houses at the very beginning, by running wires outside the walls, it was an afterthought. Early 1910, 1915. the plumbing isn't 40s either, i would also say about 1910-15
@westelaudio943
@westelaudio943 5 жыл бұрын
@@MrDBarch I've seen houses from the 50s with this type of wiring. It's just easier and cheaper to do it that way in a stone house. The ceramic switches are definately older (1910s/20s) but the bakelite ones are more recent.

If you haven't already looked up the newspaper, I did a little research. This house was possibly a clergy house for Catholic priests. This also may help you understand the religious statues, etc. "Aid to the Church in Need". In 1947 he founded Aid to the Eastern Priests, which shortly after became the aid organisation, Aid to the Church in Need. His relief organisation provided food and clothes for millions of East German refugees. In his appeals he preached compassion and reconciliation, and eventually encouraged many people to support the cause. Many supporters donated goods and food, rather than money; sides of pork were often donated, and van Straaten became known as the 'Bacon Priest'. The initial goal was to aid refugees who fled or were expelled from Eastern Europe in the wake of the Second World War, many of them Catholic.[1]

I grew up in a Victorian house. My father paid $16.000 for it in 1972. What was expensive were the heating and electric bills. I wish we still owned it. The home was magical. I live in south Florida in a concrete box right now. All of the homes here are ugly compared to the old Kentucky homes. I've walked out of the victorian era into a sewer. These homes are precious and beautiful and should be kept in top shape at all times. It's against the law to alter a victorian house in Kentucky. You can get in huge trouble. I need to go back. It's so ugly here. 😭
