My father was the Harbour Master and our family of which there were five of us in total grew up in that very building and I have to agree it is shameful that it has been left in such a sorry state, as my two sisters and myself have so many happy memories of childhood days growing up there. Our father, whose name was Captain Moug, passed away in 1966 aged just 49 and as it was a tied house we were given 6 months to find somewhere else to live. I would like to thank Sam and Jess for treating our old home with such respect, I'm sure my sisters would agree

My gosh I was gobsmacked with historical beauty of this grand building. It is a tribute to the grandeur of yesteryear and the pride the people that built these buildings took in the art of woodwork and brass and architecture, nothing left to happenstance. It makes me sad to think those days are gone and the beauty of this place sits in the dark unappreciated and unloved. You guys are amazing in your explores. Your respect and appreciation for the past gives me hope for the youth and the future. Thank you and cheers from Sugarland Texas ❤️🇬🇧🇺🇸

It's Dundee, so expect to see a "mysterious" fire shortly which conveniently will leave it "structurally unsafe" leading to the council able to demolish it and sell it for housing land and this get around "listed building issues" This happens all the time in Dundee.

My Gran lived here with her mother and her two sisters when her father Captain Norman Moug was harbourmaster. They left after his sudden death in 1966. Behind the locked door is the service stair to the maid's room and the old laundry. The maid's room was given a makeover and made into a bedroom for my Gran. She says through the hole in the wall she can recognise the stairs and the stippled wall decoration. Strange to see the inside after so many years

I came across your channel by accident, Custom House was recently under the ownership of the Apex Hotel group who were supposedly going to turn it into a boutique hotel.
