This is actually a really great series and I eagerly look forward to the next stop. G4!!! Holy cow! Anyway, what you and Amber are doing for St. Jude's is terrific! Consider donating the ruffles and suitcases to foster children. Many end up carrying their clothes in garbage bags and that is so demeaning.

That's a message from the heavens above that you're a program that's being run by an Apple computer that's a block-chain like the crypto currencies that fund the entirety of Bitcoin. "Every bit of coin will make a difference." Also, did You know the original idea for a "Bitcoin" was in factuality a gold coin that was bit to test the metal to make sure it's real? Gold is maleable enough to bend with a bite, just a bit of exerted strength.

Deseret Industry is the LDS ( Mormons) thrift store. Pretty cool place because they hire and train people that might not have any job skills or work history. Plus a lot of the clothing goes to areas that need it. Like South America, Africa etc. They teach people how drive trucks, sales, furniture restoration, sales, management and so on. Plus they have a food center where people that are LDS go and volunteer there time to can and dry food for people in the community. Everything from green beans, peaches, pasta meals.

I live on Social Security, and had been saving up for a Brother 1034D serger. I saw an ad on FB Marketplace for a new one in box (over 1700 items sold by person and high rating) for $85. I asked about it, got pictures, then paid the money. Lister disappeared immediately off of FB and Marketplace and I of course never saw the Serger or my money again. That hurt me deeply. BTW it was last December and was to be my gift to from my husband. Haven't trusted FBM since.

I live in Utah. Deseret Industries (aka DI) is an LDS (Mormon) thing. Owned and operated by the church. They get donations and in turn sell them for cheap to others. Oftentimes they help the less fortunate by giving them a dollar amount to buy clothes and many other items when they are down on their luck.

Funny thing about the alcohol is that Utah is a "dry" state. They do have/sell it but has to be purchased in specific stores. In many restaurants, if you want it you have to bring your own. It is interesting actually. My mom traveled there a lot for her job and has some pretty interesting stories. Just really surprised me you found some in the unit.
