“Gly”: Holy cow! I never would’ve imagined that one was that deep! I’ll bet those side drifts head over to the Silver King. Dead birds? Makes me wonder what the air quality is down in there. Everyone loves DSE videos Mr M.. keep ‘em coming!

@abandonedforgottenfootage1556 Жыл бұрын
Yes. I figure it was a 1000 or more foot shaft, the collar and everything gave way, and crashed down and plugged it. Then as you can see in the drone shot, the sides have sluffed in and filled in on top of the debri. My guess.......

Wow! That was amazing Mr. M. BTW you're looking well. Glad to see you out and about. How deep do you recon this vertical shaft is? If a person went down there with ropes and climbing gear, it would take them a long time to get back to the surface. You're right. This video is excellent. The use of the music gave it a creepy feeling of anticipation to see the bottom. Great job Mr. M. and I give you, your cohort in crime and your wonderful wife Mary a shout out for this awesome video! Where were this "mining fellows" going with their plans?? No collar/no drifts/ladders/or a man-way and at the bottom, like you said, two dead birds lying on the"crumblings." How was this "hole" dug? Dynamite then a scoop to pull out the material? I see a tailings pile from your drone shot. I like your camera set up and how you devised to lower and raise it. Good start for an explore "M".

Greetings from Australia. I have a similar set up that I run from the back of a 4 wheeler .Much easier to get to out of the way places and takes 5 minutes to set up once on site, no need to place yourself out over the edge. I use a gopro10 with waterproof lighting as there could be water in the bottom of the shaft. Just a quick question how do you get your 360 camera to look out to the side of the shaft.
@BlitzKC81610 күн бұрын
Mr M Question could you put a buzzer (switch) on the steel cable to somehow trip when it hits bottom to signal you up top that it's hit bottom? Switch at bottom of sonzalator that completes a circuit and makes a light or buzzer alert you to hitting the bottom?

That deep and not a drop of moisture. You couldn't go that deep in the Eastern USA without finding more water than you could handle. I keep wondering how and why they dug that pit, since there is little evidence that they did much mining, except for digging straight down. Nice to see you using that camera again. How about telling us who your new partner is. Has Randy gone off on his own? This is a true story. Here in the UK and elderly couple won big on the lottery. They purchased a nice house in Wales, built directly over an ancient mine. Within this wonderful home was a shaft similar to this one, and it was a bit of a feature. The toilet was situated directly over it. Well the morning after they moved in, the old man grabbed his news paper, hot tea, and a jelly sandwich, and went in for his morning constitutional. An hour later, his Mrs was calling his name, wondering where he had gone. Well by mid day she had established that he had gone to pay a visit, and banged on the door, shouting his name, but to no avail. Fearing the worst, she called the police, fire , and ambulance, in an effort to rescue him. But all was in vain. Once the door was open, he was seen, pants round his ankles, paper dropped on the floor, a single bite taken from his sandwich, and his untouched tea, now stone cold. Clearly no longer alive. The old lady, devastated, answering questions for the coroner. "Tell me, did he have any odd behaviour?" Wiping away a year she replied. " Come to thing of it, he had the strange habit of hold his breath until he heard the first one go 'plop'"... Well, not quite a true story, bur one that might appeal to your sense of humour. 🚽😂Take care my friend. TTFN.
