It sure is sad but to me I’ve seen beautiful homes and the owner dies and relatives come with dumpsters and throw everything in the dump. It’s like everything in that person’s life just goes into the trash dump. It happened to my neighbor and I was so upset seeing it 😢😢

Yes, sadly most of us will die alone; nobody to hold our hand to say goodbye, nobody to thank for being with us in our last moments. Many of us will die in our sleep or away somewhere and won't be discovered for awhile. If you believe as I do the one true caring friend who will welcome our souls back will be Jesus.

I think I would of Shut the Window Now at the Start & see if a Bird or Animal came in, & then if Not, then just Shut the Door, & Cut the Ivy starting to come in!! As for the Whole Mansion, it was Stunning, from the Floors, Carpets, Ceilings with Detail Flowers, Lights, Beautiful Bathroom, Lovely Furniture, & all the Dishes, Glassware, Books!! Pictures Too!! I Loved the Art Work!! I Would Love to Live There, & Remove All the Weeds in the Yard!! So Sad the Children, Now Adults Don`t Come Back & Take their stuff from Their Parents!! Another amazing video. I find it so strange these places are left to rot; that the families have no desire to have the memories left behind by their loved ones. I hate seeing beautiful things left to rot and more importantly the memories left to fade. Thank you for bringing it to those of us who want to know about these forgotten people and places. The item in the barn is called a forge; it is used by blacksmiths in making shoes for animals. My grandfather and father were smithy also known as a farrier. Watching from Nova Scotia Canada.

Hello Dave, what an amazing beautiful home each room was filled with beauty. My only hope is that it left untouched and that it doesn't get trashed. Dave you need to slow down when filming it's to fast and it doesn't give us time to focus on the things you are talking about and then there gone. We have lost beautiful craft in wood work over the years and left with plain dull furniture. Thanks for the time to share these beautiful places with us all. Are there other people here who when watching these you can’t help but be overwhelmed with the reality of the fact that you can’t take anything with you when you leave this place. Yet people cling onto stuff so hard. These make me feel sullen because it’s so sad how their cherished items are rotting away and no one is taking care of their heirlooms and keepsakes. I also think about how so many of our cherished items are only things WE know the history behind. Unless we leave name tags on everything we hold dear to our heart, no one knows the back story. I just get so nostalgic watching these. I can’t handle them for very long. ❤

Great video dave. I don't know if i was seeing things but when you went into his office and swing your camera round to look at his desk there was something that past your lens. Had to go back and check and yes I did see something. Keep up the great work 👍👍✊

Hi, new to your channel and content. This was fabulous, so much to discover in that place and what history it must hold. Looks so classically the French lifestyle, many happy times there (although a sad ending). How wonderful it would be to see it restored and brought to glory again, it's not too bad I think. A lovely project for a rich retired couple. TFS.

Just to add - in some cases these abandoned places can't be sorted or resolved due to legal issues etc. It certainly feels like children were there once upon a time though.
