I think you are spot on. The lyrics are profound, and I also find that the "then and now combined" applies to many ABBA fans who are old enough to have experienced it in "real time" so to speak. I mean, I remember when ABBA did Waterloo and then never stopped being a fan when I was in my teens in the mid to late 70-s - it's not the same experience now, of course, but they do revive my 13-18 year old self in my much older shell. It is magical! I am so happy that my kids now get to experience watching ABBA in real time too.

Jess Bell, the creator of the Bonne Bell line, made a men's line, briefly. Among the fragrances was one called Skin Musk for Men, by Jess Bell. It wasn't sweet and/or cloying, like Skin Musk and Obsession (for men or women), it smelled mostly of a warm cork scent, a hint of cedar, and a bit of civet musk, but not much. It was one of a kind, and the Skin Musk for Men that they came out with, recently, is no match. You're right about the colognes and perfumes from that period. My mom asked me to get her a bottle of either White Shoulders or White Linen, once for mother's day. A very similar floral/coastal scent was used in either Aqua Net or White Rain hair sprays.
