Hello, nice to see you again in ABBA Sunday I'm so glad with your kinds words After the extraordinary success with "Waterloo" it took a long time for ABBA to ratify this success and demonstrate that the victory at Eurovision was not going to be a lucky and isolated success. "I do I do I do I do I do" (1975) was one of the songs that they tried this song is a beautiful melody, I think it reminds of the 50s, the voices and harmonies of the girls, the blonde Agnetha & and the brunette Frida are perfect, the song leaves a happy feeling there is a official video, filmed at the same time in April 1975 with three more songs: "S.O.S." ; "Mamma Mía" ; "Bang a boomerang" (all songs in their self-titled album 'ABBA') in UK it did not enter the Top 30 but the surprise was in Australia, which gave them their first #1 there (3 weeks) follow by "Mamma Mía" & "S.O.S " with two another #1 consecutives (all three #1 in a row, in 14 consecutives weeks) in U.K. when seeing that event they published "S.O.S." and picks #6 and in U.S. they first edited "S.O.S." and reached #15 on Billboard, follow by "I do I do I do I do I do" with another #15 these is because ABBA have different company records in each countries, and each company decide wich song was released that's why the chronology was different: Europe: I do (x5)/ S.O.S./ Mamma Mía U.S.: S.O.S./ I do (x5)/ Mamma Mía Australia: I do (x5)/ Mamma Mía/ S.O.S. and then the ABBA's series of global successes will already be continuous between 1975/1982 These is one of the three songs that ABBA performed at Norway in August 1975 (you did before the others S.O.S & Waterloo) At that time ABBA wasn't explodes as the biggest worldwide success That is why my next suggestion could be: "So long" (1974) that have live performance in Top of the Pops at UK , or energetic performance in a TV special "Made in Sweden" 1976 It's one of the great songs that haven't success as a single after "Waterloo" See you later in next videos I wish You a great weekend Best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 South America

They are such great masters! They manage to produce studio quality sound even when they perform live on stage.

I would love to have seen this Female Duo have a Dual. Preferably with swords😀

The unique quality of the girls' harmonies is the fact their tones together create a very slight harmonic. Hence their tones match perfectly. I'm a hard rock/metal lover who appreciates what this group brought to the plate.

This actually became a number one hit here in Australia.

I think this is just another example of how good they were at coming up with a perfect countermelody for the chorus..

I was going to tell you off, lol. Old habits die hard but great reaction to the song that sealed my fate as a lifetime ABBA fan.

If you listen closely toward the end of the song, you can hear wedding bells or I guess you could say church bells. In the movie Muriel's Wedding, she played this song. You should definitely watch this movie if you haven't seen it, it's full of ABBA songs.

I was going to say the same, fantastic movie.

Could you also please do a comparison video of who sang it best between Masha Mnjoyan singing her cover version of All by myself at her audition on the Voice Australia in 2020 vs Charice Pempengco also singing her cover version of All by myself live with David Foster? This should be breathtakingly good. Again i am excited and would love to hear your opinion as to which of them sang this song the best and why ( Masha Mnjoyan or Charice Pempengco). However, could you please combine the two performances together in one video and then after listening to both performances give your opinion as to which of them sang this song the best and why?

After ABBA won the Eurovision Contest with Waterloo they weren't lucky enough to find a worthy successor: Honey, Honey was so simple "Schlager/music style in Suede and Germany, So Long was a rocker and I Do was a nostalgia "Schlager", for me only the sax save the song, in middle Europa a mediocre hit, not in UK. The next singles SOS and Mamma Mia were big hits, but all only 3 minutes songs. Even later the songs contained bridges with the excellent tempo changes - somehting special as Benny said in WDR interview. Sadly on the last year album 6 songs were short too, partly for me too simple and not mature, dear composer, why not only 2 or 3 ?

I don't agree with your opinión of "Voyage" "When you danced with me" & "No doubt about it" are the only two songs under 3 minutes, and are really good songs And with more mature lyrics too (see "I can be that woman" & "Kep an eye on Dan", also "Ode to Freedom") In my opinion "Voyage" is a great album, (7;5pts), only behind "Arrival" & "The Album" at same level of "ABBA" & "Super Trouper" and better than the rest four ABBA albums but all is about personal taste

@@eduardooscar309 Yes 4 masterpieces, 4 short too simple somehow not finished songs (as I described above), then stay 2 (no comment) ,,,, Fact is: in the successful London shows are only the 2 fantastic so different singles, say all. But the important thing is: all four HAVE FUN AND A GREAT TIME TOGETHER AGAIN!!!. If you are over 70, you can and should allow yourself that. My opinion: Voyage must be somewhere in between the first three. Simply: download your best songs; kind of a pity. Yes for example take Ode To Freedom: long intro and all four sing, no problem their last final song, then I get in mood and start to enjoy the song ... abrupt end, also by the Swedish premiere/on internet. Actually a good song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5q0ZWBqe7Zln7M

They couldn’t include more new songs to the show in London, because the footage for the avatars was shot much more earlier than they recorded the new songs, except DSMD and ISHFIY.

@@ursgeiser6570 with all due respect, but I differ in your opinion on the duration A song can be short, but not necessarily simple and not finished, and at the same time be very good (it is the case of these two in Voyage) And if not, the best example is "Waterloo", a masterpiece under 3 minutes The BEATLES themselves have "She loves You" which barely exceeds 2 minutes and is another Masterpiece and the other already answered ABBA reunites in 2017 after 35 years (I think sometimes the extraordinary dimension of this is NOT taken into account) and it was going to be just those two songs when they embark on the adventure of ABBAtars concerts and then more songs emerged, until they surprise us with an unexpected and great new album Voyage Let's NOT ask or demand more ABBA, let's simply thank you for your historic return, and the happiness of seeing the four of you together, relaxed and smiling (different from the tension of the last interview in 1882) They have given us much more than any other group or artist Eternal gratitude to Agnetha Benny Björn A.Frida

Btw 'Honey honey' was a huge hit in W.Germany peaked at N02 and remained in the top 5 for 4 whole months. Also top 30 USA and top 5 in some European countries. It wasn't a UK release by Abba but by a band called Sweet Dreams that made it in top 10.Then followed SOS and MM as you said that made them really bigger and rest is history.
