classic ABBA, uplifting music with sad lyrics... happysad.... was intended to be a single in late 1978 and that's why it was performed twice in Japan and the UK, but fate had it, Chiquitita came along and in a few weeks it became the subsequent new single in January 1979. This one remained - shocker - an album track. They could afford to leave it as an album track. Many think it's their best album track. But - here the arrangement is missing the polished string arrangements heard on the actual release.. so THIS IS NOT the final version. But the song is the same of course...

This has early mix with less strings. If You listen album (Voulez Vous) version, it's final mix. Intro piano and interlude is one of highlights.

love this song. Frida was getting in the groove lol. another great dance song of theirs is "Summer Night City" the official video shows them all over Stockholm and dancing in their favorite club. it is rumored that they were all very tipsy while filming lol
