The more I think about that, the more I find it unbelievable. The two ladies are just unbelievable. Much more than the two guys. Listening at a series of interviews from the last 40 years, I got the feeling that for Benny and Björg it was a nice game and a nice business. They did it with love and dedication, but it still was not more than a "game for big kids". Meanwhile, the 2 ladies have always acted and felt like full adult persons that are not only "playing a game". That's my feeling right now. Maybe somebody can prove me wrong?

For me Frida is the most interesting person of the group. All her answers are wise and mature. It is sad to notice how tense looked Benny while she was talking...I don't know why...and even more knowing that he broke with her for marrying another woman...

Benny even digs at her in this interview: after Annifrid tells the story of the incident on tour where her wig fell off, Benny says that that moment "ruined the momentum" of the song/performance. Clearly criticizing her in a passive aggressive way. He has also done this even to Agnetha in some interviews I noticed, towards the end of Abba. Whereas both ladies kept their class and their cool, taking the high road. It cannot have been easy for them to sit there in this interview, with the two men who screwed them over in a personal way. Bjorn who had according to rumors, a romance with lena whatserface even already in 1978. and then benny who clearly was done with Annifrid (and abba?) and jumped ship by starting something with another woman.

From what I understand later on, She lost her daughter in a car wreck. She went into a deep depression and their marriage fell apart. If she wanted her marriage, she had to work on it. He was not cheating on her . The marriage broke up first.

This was a very good interview and it seemed as if the group enjoyed themselves. Many comments have been made about their personal struggles. But it is amazing that they could manage their desire for family and personal stability with the incredible demands that their success and careers placed upon them. I still can't imagine how they could sing so skillfully in unaccented English which of course was a foreign language to them. But now here in 2025 I think we can only wish them all our love and respect, and hope they can enjoy their lives and look back on their careers with satisfaction.

I agree, they always said that the divorces weren't the cause of the split from the group, but you can feel the tension. Benny even takes a sublte dig at Frida when her wig fell of. And at 5:06 Frida says something Agnetha does not like, you just see it when she makes that expression. Also on the late late breakfast show you could taste the tension.

When they are singing, 7:53 Frida keeps looking at Agnetha to try and make a connection. That speaks volumes about the fact that she is a good person.

SpockBoy musically, it also makes sense. In this song, she is singing harmony, so she needs to be in sync with what Agnetha is doing and basically follow her lead. I think Frida was technically the more precise singer. She was more consistently on key and had more power in her voice, and a larger range. Agnetha was the more emotive one. She could sell a song extremely well. Both women offered something incredibly special to their sound.

Yesterday I listened again to "Live at Wembley Arena" and I realized again: They were the greatest. Simply the greatest. Apart from the fact that they had a whole bunch of the greatest pop songs ever written, arranged with mastery and sung by two of the greatest pop singers, what overwhelms me again and again is their musical and moral integrity. Joy and dignity were both their message. Enjoy your life, but in a decent way. That may sound a little bit conservative, but I think we need this attitude more than ever nowadays...

Bjorn and Benny are like little boys not real men, they left their wives in the moment both Agnetha and Frida needed them most. Urrrgh. Not Thank you for the Music again. So many good songs but this one gets lumped out too often in their later interviews/performances. Definitely one of their weaker songs. The interview is so candid, especially talk about remarriage after divorce and Bjorn's wild week of being single. Generally though so much more natural and lacking the dull reserve of many of their interviews. Appear as very engaged and interesting people.Thanks for posting it.
