ABBA was one of those groups that, almost every single time they opened their mouth, the song was a hit. They were great.

Frida (brunette) and Benny (on piano) were married from 1978 to 1981 (although a couple for many years before marrying). Agneta (blonde) and and Björn (on guitar) were married between 1971 and 1979. They also had two children together, Linda in 1973, and Christian in 1977.

It's hard for the old rocker in me to admit, but ABBA was definitely one of my guilty pleasures back in the day. I actually LOVED this group. All their songs were so catchy...even this one, despite being a sad song. And I have NO problem admitting that I had a MAD crush on Agnetha. Still kinda do!

As a hard rock fan I spent my youth arguing with my dad that ABBA were crap . He insisted they were the best group since the Beatles. Dad died 5 years ago and every time I hear an ABBA song I always look up and say OK Dad I get it 🙌 I think I secretly always did but wouldn’t admit it 😉

Abba had the unique ability to write about every day, human experiences and make them into perfect little pop packages that can make you smile, tap your feet, sing along even if it's a sad narrative. They are masters of songs that are in perfect harmony with emotions and senses. Genius

Abba are one of those bands that very, very rarely get covered in televised singing competitions and it's for a pretty simple reason. Their harmonies and melodies are really hard to sing. They sound simple because the girls are amazing singers. Really, amazing. I did see one round in one TV talent show in the UK where they got them to do Abba songs, a loooong time ago, and it was painful to watch and has never been repeated!

Benny and Bjorn are such brilliant song crafters. The melodies and lyrics are always so memorable . And I love that ABBA often made such simple videos that really catch the song's essence. The freeze-frames in this and the couples looking at each other and turning away really conveys the sadness of a breakup without a need for fancy special effects

The song is upbeat, but the tone of Frida's voice is so melancholic and sad, and the lyrics are deep. ABBA songs often have that kind of subtle ambiguity. They wanna make you cry and dance at the same time. Love it!

I've loved ABBA since I was a child! I remember having a child version of a record player when I was about 4 or 5 and the very first record that was "mine" was a 45 with their single Fernando. I would play it over and over and sing along. On the flip side my hubby is not an ABBA fan, so when he annoys me I'll start singing Dancing Queen 😂

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Abba is a force to be recon with, - a power house. Top quality. I remember as a teenager their lyrics were so informative. Abba is a Swedish pop supergroup formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names and the members of the group where married to each other's . They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983.

*Coming from a native Swede* The band members were couples; Agneta (the blonde) was married to Björn (the clean-shaven man), and Anni-Frid (the redhead) was married to Benny (the bearded man), but they later got divorced, and I think, I THINK (but could be completely wrong) that this song is in significance to that.

A cool group, they were 2 couples that formed a group, the man with the beard was married to the redhead, the blonde to the clean shaven guy. The women were the great voices- and eye candy, but the men wrote the songs and created the instrumentation. They needed each other- and it worked great, a lot of hits!!

Think this is one of their most beautiful songs.... real... but hopeful... can break up..n it can be hard.. but only if ye let it.... can still work together for a common goal... think father n daughter... mother and son.... think this song was ultimately shedding light on the good that comes from a break up.... despite the darkness normally associated with a break up... abba are kinda a poster child for this.. in that for most of their career they were estranged....

"Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes" This is an emotional experience that we have probably all experiences some more than once. Walking out the door after you have moved all your stuff out following a divorce, going back and revisiting your now empty childhood home. The paradox is that such a sad emotional experience is set to some of the most beautiful music we will ever here. If this doesn't cause your eyes to shed a tear you may need to go to the doctor and have them check to see if you are still alive. I can see right before you paused the video on your review your eyes were about to cut lose..

ABBA could wrench your heart with the greatest of ease, it seemed. This one always brings tears to my eyes.

Being born in 1972 I grew up on ABBA’s music. My parent bought the LP ‘Arrival’ to me, when I was like 4 years old, and this song became one of my favorites along with ‘Eagle’.

I can’t help to sort of dance to this song. The beat is so contagious. I love it
