I myself was born (1973) right into the ABBA era and have been listening to them for what seems like forever. I agree with you GivenToe that with ABBA you can listen to them, and then you can _really_ listen to them and you'll discover them again. Like the guys' vocals - usually subtle and mixed to perfection by Michael B. Tretow so that you only notice them if you listen closely, or else they just make up that iconic "ABBA sound". And the lyrics are often so well written once you pay close attention to them. As I grew up not knowing English that well in the beginning, the lyrics got new life as I grew older and fully understood them. ABBA is one of Sweden's greatest legacies. Rock on! 🤘🏻🎙🤘🏻

When they are on that talk show as one of their last appearances in 81-82 and Friday sings this just after her breakup with Benny. It’s heartbreaking. You can see her glance over at Benny and just quickly turn away because she’s too upset to look at him for too long. I think this was also the same public appearance where Benny publicly humiliates her. It’s not a very nice thing to watch… you could see his nasty side and she just tries to laugh it off to save face.

"Knowing me knowing you" (1976) is one of ABBA's most famous heartthrob songs The lyrics are strong and raw (some say there is a preview of the couple conflicts between the blonde singer Agnetha & guitarist Björn) And it has a powerful chorus on Agnetha & Frida, and a nice melody These is an excellent official video, it shows the four of them in separation situations, and plays with the images of the trios The part that stands out the most is the appearance of the image of Agnetha almost whispering as a reflection of Frida's main voice "Knowing me knowing you" was five weeks in a row at #1 in the UK, and one of them coincided with the #1 of "Dancing Queen" on the Billboard. (Just this week of April 9, 1977, 46 years ago, ABBA was #1 in the U.S. and U.K. with two different songs from the same album) "Knowing me knowing you" is one of their hits that ABBA recorded in spanish at 1980, with the tittle: "Conociéndome, Conociéndote", part of their album in spanish language "Gracias por la música" (1980) ABBA recorded in spanish after the colossal success of "Chiquitita" (1979) in Latin American countries I hope to see you in next reaction to ABBA My best regards to You from Buenos Aires Argentina 🇦🇷 South América

ABBAMAN., this is never one of my favorite tracks from ABBA but I liked it the video is excellent. You know back then at least in the US. There just weren't any music channels that you can see videos on so I think Abba was very ahead of their times making these videos to play somewhere around the world. They also made several non hit videos from different album tracks which is very cool I think this may have been a 4Runner to The winner takes it All meaning that the subject matter it's about relationship that's breaking up this became Abba's 6 top 20 hit where is peaking at number 14 on the US charts but it was number one in several European countries😊 4:55😮

Frida looks and sounds perfect in this video and song. One of their best and more poignant songs, and ironically written when they were all still happy with each other… unless there were cracks already forming in their relationships. Every bit as hesrtbreaking as the Winner Takes it All and When All is Said and Done, their post-breakup songs.

My dear brother, finally one of the great ABBA songs for me, of course. I would venture to say that this was the first song I heard from them. I was 9 years old, I had already returned from Holland where I lived for about 4 years, and I remember sitting on the sofa in the living room of my house and this song was playing on television. This was the music video, I'm sure of it. When I was nine years old, I didn't know english and, therefore, I didn't understand any of the lyrics, but the melody and the way of singing gave me goosebumps, and I was only 9 years old. I was fascinated listening to that blonde girl, so beautiful, singing so well. Yes, this is one of my favorite ABBA songs. I think I once told you that I have created my ABBA top 12. I'm going to introduce you little by little to my ABBA top 12. I can tell you that from the album "Voyage" two songs are in my ABBA top 12. "I still have faith in you" is in 8th place and "I can be that woman" is in 12th place. This song "Knowing me, knowing you" occupies 9th place in my ABBA top 12. Obviously it's all a matter of taste and also the marks that each song has had on each of our lives. There are many people who say that the song "The winner takes all" is THE MOST ABBA SONG of all. But for me it's not, I can even tell you that this song isn't even in my ABBA top 12. For me, one of the MOST ABBA songs is "Knowing me, knowing you". From now on you will get to know the rest of the songs that make up my ABBA top 12 because some are already close. Thank you very much and receive a big hug from me.

This is the song where the ABBA-sound with the girls mixed harmonies is at their best. Goosebumps and tears in my eyes. Especially when I know that Knowing Me Knowing You will be played as the first song at my funeral, whenever it will be. The lyrics "Here is where the story ends, This is goodbye" and "Breaking up is never easy, I know But I have (I have to go) to go" can mean more than just a breakup... It was about time you listened to KMKY properly and did a fine reaction. Well done! Go on with ABBAs
