I recall an article back in the '70s stating that Abba fans were so hungry for getting to know the band's news and activities that even the press services weren't enough to keep up with the demand.Also the band didn't do interviews that easily .So that's how the idea of the exclusive Abba magazine was conceived.It had been reported that Swedish fans had to buy foreign magazines to learn about them since the domestic press wasn't so seriously keen on Abba.

Regarding 4:32 i just brought in my mind a story in a documentary i had seen in utube where an 'obsessed' UK Abba fan was telling his Abba experience that had taken place in 1978.It must have been around the time that the band briefly visited London for the Blue Peter show and 'The Movie' promotion.He found out Abba's hotel and called pretending he was a journalist.After sometime they connected him... Benny answered the phone ! and the 14 years old guy lost ground under his feet from the little shock.lol.He hung up!But he finally went to the hotel -i think he went together with his mate) and bumbed into Abba while they were about to go out.He finally made it and got photographed with them all smiling (some photos got shown in the documentary).I remember him also stating that he will not forget how beautiful they looked and smelled.

I would be satisfied with 2 new songs and a JLT reworking or even some more additional numbers as part of a VOYAGE DLX edition. Besides i don't know if i would be able to 'suffer' again all this stress of how a new album would sound and be accepted by the fans and the press.Neverthless I was lucky with 'Voyage'.I just want my favest,beloved friends ABBA to be ONLY top.Nothing less.(I hope you understand how i mean this ,it's just my well intented agony from an older fan's view).

I'm a lucky boy. For my birthday this week my wife got me two tickets for ABBA Voyage in August. I'm sure it will make up for not being allowed to go to Wembley Arena in 1979. Thank you for the updates. They keep me young at heart.

I think Singapores a great option for those of us in Australia to host Voyage. I’m hoping the 2 songs unfinished for Voyage get some work down the track. Who knows.. Great to hear that ABBA Voyage is expanding, though I think it will be a good few years before it moves from London. As confirmed, the arena is allowed to stay (currently) until 2026. Singapore would be a great place for ABBA Voyage to welcome a wider Asian and Australian audience! Las Vegas as well! I doubt it will go anywhere else in Europe as many of the European audience have been / will be going to London. Great video!

Yes, but with Australia loving Abba so much, one should be built in Sydney. Singapore is a great place also and Vegas is a no brainer for the US. This arena anywhere can be used for other artists using the technology. It is a great way for musicians to tour, but without the exhausting schedules.

ABBA do not need to wait for the London venue to close. The expensive stuff (the video recordings of the ABBAtars) can simply be copied. Replicating ABBA Arena elsewhere will be cheaper as the plans have been paid for and planning permission for an established success should be a formality. Profits from the Voyage show will have already recouped costs and ABBA has no problems raising any money (if needed). Future venues will be absolute money spinners.

Voyage would be a huge hit in the United States. At several casino resorts in New York whenever there’s an ABBA tribute show it is completely sold out top to bottom! It is one of the few sure fire acts that come to casinos. Imagine if voyage came? America was slow to come to the ABBA table but now they are full-fledged fans of several generations now

The quiz show "På spåret" is in fact rated by many Swedes as our music show no 1. So many great musical acts over the years. The music questions often include an embedded second, more or less related, instrumental theme. In "Against all odds" it is "Smile" by Charlie Chaplin. This summer her concert at the Ullevi arena in Gothenburg was attended by over 60.000. She works as a music producer in Los Angeles. B t w, the drum playing here was a clue to Phil Collins for the quiz competitors.

So Benny in new music...But would i totally loose hope for those 2 left 'unfinished' ABBA songs that were left out of VOYAGE?Benny had kinda said that they were 12 songs or smth.And that those 2 left ones were 'good songs' but they needed to be worked.I'm afraid they will never get completed as i watch time passing by...

Now that it's been revealed that there will be some kind of 50th anniversary celebration, I would bet there will also be a "deluxe" edition of Voyage with the 2 new songs included. Or just a special release of the 2 songs. Given how Benny has actually stated there are 2 other songs - instead of not saying anything - there must be plans to eventually release them in some form.

I don't why nobody will bring up the idea of variations of the show in the interviews. Maybe it would be technically too difficult, but I would think just repeating the exact same show over and over must get tedious, both for the musicians and for the repeat concertgoer. Having at least two variations would allow them to feature more songs and generate more revenue. I was so hopeful for more creations from the group, but it seems extremely unlikely at this point. It appears they are content with what they have done as ABBA.

I don't believe you've considered the technical accomplishment of the show. It relies on a large staff making sure everything works as perfectly as possible. ABBA also filmed other songs for later inclusion in Voyage, so the setlist won't remain static. You can safely bet the live musicians in Voyage are extremely well-paid. Like any live performance, repetition is part of the package. It would be a huge challenge to be technically perfect every show.

Can someone please tell me what the best seats are in the Voyage arena ? Planning to attend a concert in May, looking for seats where we'll feel free to dance and sing, while having a proper view of the stage and visual effects. Opinions on the net seem to vary about what the best spots are. Can any ABBA fans give me advice on this ?
