@@MsElke11 People weren't allowed to do it that way back then. The managers and agents and promoters who were in charge of their careers pretty much just wouldn't allow that kind of thing. They thought having their children around them was a distraction that would take from their creativity and work. They didn't seem to realize that mentally and emotionally it probably would have helped them and maybe kept some of them away from drugs and drink. The people who controlled them were greedy and only concerned about putting money in their pockets. They often told the bands, either you do things our way or your career is over.

I have read and watched many interviews. This is not accurate but a huge misconception! Agnetha did talk about how hard it was to leave children. Which is why they very seldom toured and made videos and tv appearances! The band also focused on creating music not touring.

Linda blows things way out of proportion and loves to talk bad about her mother, because every time she does she gets to put some money in her pocket. Agnetha is a very private person and is not always easy for the media to get an interview with , so anytime Linda wants to talk someone is quick to pay her for it, and if she has something shocking to say they love that even more. I am disgusted with this coarse description of Linda's parents. "Agnetha" loved and loves her family. Most people when given an opportunity career wise at a young age, follow that goal. She was a born mother and born to sing. Kids can be bullied by other kids who were jealous of them, and that was the case with Linda is my guess. I don't believe a word of it, just teenage and human feelings, on and off , no matter who a parent is. My sister was one when I was born, and when my mother went to my aunt's house to collect her on her way home from the hospital, my sister wouldn't go to her, she was happy with my aunt. Her grandparents loved her. Nonsensical podcast full of negativity. The world loves her parents, and they her parents adored her. People have nannies, day care all type of recourse to rear their family, Linda was very lucky to have the parents she had.

This is so incorrect. Born was the one who wanted to travel and put his career first ,he told Anna that they had nanny's. ,he became angry if Anna didn't agree with hus desire to travel for music. Agnetha had big problems with leaving her children in Sweden with nannies . She would get depressed , anxious , didn't want to travel .

Linda was planed. As was Christian. The only thing I don't understand is after ABBA, Agnetha stayed in the US for quite a while when recording a solo album. She had a fling with Bruce Gaitsch whilst she was out there. Whilst I have no problem with anyone having flings, Linda and Christian were back in Sweden with their father. For someone who didn't want to be away from her children, she chose it.
