There's s fantastic interview of the "historical supervisor" of The Beatles Rock Band. He was so passionate about the game even though he was new to Harmonix and his job was just to chart songs, that he insisted on having more to do. They made him do a LOT of research for things like that and ended up in the credits as "historical supervisor". I wouldn't be surprised if he made that distinction and told the animators

I'm a guitar player myself, but I always liked how Ringo used the toms, incorporating them into the beat of the songs, as opposed to just having them there for fills. "Ticket to Ride" for example, is a top ten Beatle song for me, and his part is so perfect. It totally makes the song what it is.

They might not have had the absolute best rhythm, bass and lead guitarists around at that time (as good as they were), but what band back then performed a guitar shootout as good as that one at the end? John's sizzling rhythm playing brings tears to my eyes, probably because we are never going to be witness to a band like that again for the next fifty or hundred years, maybe forever.
@laural.enright47803 жыл бұрын
I think they had a pretty good bassist. I love them all, but I think the genius behind McCartney, and professionals have said this, is that he played his bass like a lead guitar. So he comes up with some amazing lines. That being said, I think the brilliance of the Beatles was in the fact that, now matter what, it was the entirety of the song that mattered, not just ones particular part. That wasn't necessarily the case with all bands. So there's a fantastic balance in all the songs that transcends anything else. It was always about the song.

Thank you! So disappointed with the remastered 2019 release. The re-positioning of Her Majesty is absurd. This transition from Mean Mr Mustards to Polythene Pam is one of the highlights. I have listened to this original on vinyl and CD hundreds of times and there are dozens, if not hundreds of differences. I don’t understand why they would spend so much time remastering anew such an inferior string of tracks. Don’t mess with musical mastery. Thank you again for this original!
@sunset13262 жыл бұрын
I mean… some people actually prefer “Her Majesty” in between “Mean Mr Mustard” and “Polythene Pam” The final product of the medley was remastered mixes on the original base album anyway so they gave some people the extra option with the 16 minute track rough take with the original intention somewhere in the box set with the demo takes they did before the orchestra overdubs. Just an option for either side they weren’t gonna force them with just one. It isn’t a case of “messing with musical mastery” just something extra for the fans with preferences on “Her Majesty”’s position so I don’t know what your problem is here.

To think of all the hard work and time that had to be put into motion to make this video right here even possible. From the video creators dedication to play the song despite hard ships (Read the video description for more), to the time it had to take to get to that point in a game that was largely difficult to play. To the awesome and creative game developers that did a fantastic job animating these characters to mirror the real thing in a game that has solid gameplay that must have took plenty of time to get together. Finally to the Beatles themselves, in which this whole game revolves around but even for them in real life had to make this music and mix it together to make it sound like each piece wasn't out of place. the years and experience they went through to even be able to make music this good. What they could have done even if they spent just a bit more time together as a band. It all comes to this point, where you are sitting here and taking it all in and by the middle of the song you finally realize that human creation is absolutely incredible. This is why we live through life and go through hard ships and deal with pain and suffering sometimes just to get on the other side and be inspired by what we as humans can really do and that can inspire the most hope in people.

This is very cool and the medley of songs from the Beatles could be the greatest in rock history. It would be very difficult to top this!

Anyone notice how similar the Carry That Weight section of the medley sounds so You Never Give Me Your Money? I don't even mean just the vocal structure either, the closing riff for that portion is literally the same riff as the "One sweet dream came true" bit of YNGMYM

I made it a point to sing and play the bass parts of this one. I really miss this game, and I wish I still had my copy...

Thanks God. There's a version on KZbin that speed it up and it's super annoying. We finally have it how it should be.

Thought it’s Ringo’s voice, but it was Paul’s lol 😂The best album of the Beatles for me. 👍😎

Just watched the whole thing. They added the final resolving chord on “Her Majesty” that was missing off the original album.
