Am just amazed at your ink self control. I literally have arpund 150 bottles and am afraid my lifetime is not enough to finish them all 😂😂

Hahahahaha 😂 now that’s a collection!

No one tried to stop you?? I mean even storage of 150 bottles of ink is in itself a huge issue. Were you able to finish even one bottle completely?
@ahnpan2 жыл бұрын
@@humanfirst11 because am an adult and no one can stop me 😂 storage-wise, am doing pretty good with some containers in my room. I know a lot of people who have bigger ink hoards than i do so it's not totally out of the ordinary for me. As for finishing a bottle, not yet but am halfway through some favorites. I do think it'll take me a lifetime to finish these but i enjoy buying rare uniqe colored inks from japan/korea which is the bulk of my collection.

@@ahnpan hey as long as you're using the inks you have, then honestly it shouldn't be an issue. I do hope you're enjoying using your inks!!

Such beautiful colours, thanks for sharing your swatching. The greens that have pink and brown tones remind me of leaves changing colour

I just got a bottle of Sailor Manyo Shirakashi. It's a rich olive green with a striking reddish color shift in the shading. Robert Oster Bronze is a similar shade of green but with more orange shading than red. They are both really gentle warm greens. Robert Oster Smokescreen is another ink I just picked up recently, and it's a cool greyish brown.
@AbbeySy2 жыл бұрын
Ah yes! My friend has Shirakashi and it’s great :-) thanks for suggesting the ROs! Haven’t explored RO that much but I loved Caffe Crema.

I am more of a diamine fan mainly it is one of the first brand i try (it is pretty affordable as well). I usually go with smaller size because I did not write a lot. I am on a opposite side because i lovetge cooler tone. I use a lot of blues, grey and teal colors! Seeing these swatch mae me want to try more of orangy, autumn colors!
@AbbeySy2 жыл бұрын
I used to have Diamine but I don't reach more them as much, so I destashed my bottles :) Def try the warm colors, they're great too!

Love this color palette! If you haven’t already, you should try Vinta’s La Paz ink, it’s a beautiful mustard yellow that shades to brown and I think it would fit in very well with your collection 😊
@AbbeySy2 жыл бұрын
Oooh! Will def try this thanks for recommending ☺️ I was a bit concerned on the readability so I decided to get Ochre (didn’t see that much swatches for La Paz so will google it now)

I was in luck with Tsukushi 2 weeks ago @ Scriptus in Toronto, when a vendor sold an open box vintage 30 ml Iroshizuku bottles in discount. It is a very beautiful brown, I agree. Lots of bottles now, so it will mean writing with them for awhile, my palette falls into mainly blues, blacks & greens.

13:28 so sad that Pilot discontinued the golden color Ina-ho. Maybe the closest still around is Noodler’s Golden Brown? But Pilot inks tend to flow wetter than Noodler’s.

What nib size do you find works best with Pilot Inaho?
@AbbeySy2 жыл бұрын
I use F and it works really well - if you want to see more shading try M. But Inaho doesn’t really have much shading, and I noticed that Inaho only works the best (at least from my exp) with Pilot nibs!
