Tanning your back: I found a GREAT solution to this. Put the Tanning mit on the end of something long (I use my shower loofer brush it's really long) but also a wooden spoon or anything like that from the kitchen, use a hair tie to secure the mit, and apply it that way. IT WORKS. EVERYTIME 👌🎉

I feel like I’m a pro at this! My tans always turn out perfectly and I have so many tips. My favorite are either Tanceuticals, amazing, or Norvell professional spray tan. I buy it off amazon, it’s a liquid, and also buy a mist spray bottle that works when you spray upside down too. I used to stand in my shower and just spray it, but the clean up it annoying. So I spray it onto a tan mitt. I also dispense it into a dropper bottle, and I add it to my lotion for a really simple gradual tan. I use a much thicker barrier cream, and always wear latex gloves. Even though I use a thick barrier cream, I will still take a dry facecloth and buff all those tricky spots, feet, ankles, knees, wrists, elbows. I use a THICK cream on my hands, apply a single drop to a large makeup brush for my hands, buff like crazy, and then use that dry cloth to buff out all the edges, between fingers, press gently in the webbing too. My palms stay entirely free from product because of the gloves. If I’m using the Tanceuticals I use latex gloves to apply. It’s much better than using the mitt. Love your tips Abbey! I push on my elbows too! 😅 All that being said, I wish we loved our skin more as it is. In North America we feel we need to be tan to look better, but on the other side of the world they think snow white skin is beautiful.

I’ve been self tanning for at least 10 years! A couple years in, I switched to rubber gloves instead of a mitt and it was a GAME changer. You should try it if you haven’t!! A video comparing half your body with gloves and half with a mitt would be awesome! I feel like the tan is so much darker, it blends the same to me, you wast ZERO product, and it’s SOOO MUCH EASIER being able to use both hands at once!!

Long time fan, first time caller. You must be psychic! I wanted to see how you used the barrier cream. So many great tips. Using a dry paper towel! I was using wet wipes wondering why I looked so weird. My arms are not so long and can’t get to those places. I started rubber banding my mitt on my back brush and have been getting better at making it work for me. Now here’s the rub (sorry) for me. The skin on my body is so much more aged looking than my face. The self tan makes my skin look rough when it’s too dry. This week I tanned with Tanologist water in very dark. I went all day without lotion. Decrepit is not the word but close. Next week I’m trying the San Tropez gradual tan. I think a lotion formula will work better for me. I really tried to find a video as thorough as yours, Abbey, that addresses tanning aged skin. I am convinced it does not exist. Wish me luck! PS, K18 is transforming my hair! Your videos taught me how to self tan. So thank you. I just got a brush so I was self tanning along with the video. I have a trick for hands and feet. It’s time consuming but I do my hands and feet only, let it sit for one hour and then I wash it off. Then I put gloves on (even though I wear a mitt) so no additional tan gets on them while I’m applying the fake tan….and by morning my hands and feet are the same color as my body. Even though when I go to bed it looks like nothing is on my hands and feet. Oh and after my first shower I rinse only and do not apply moisturizer until it’s been 12-24is hours after application

May I show you how to apply it to your back without stretching your arms like Abbey was demonstrating? Do you have a scrub brush for your body? They are long and oval-shaped. Insert the brush inside the tanning glove and secure it with an elastic hair band or another preferred method. Then spray the tanning on your glove on the brush and apply it to your back while using a double-sided mirror. This is a great method. Another option is using plastic wrap, but I find it less secure due to its soft material. Abbey has provided a lot of guidance, and this is my way of giving back to you all. Take care. 🫶🏻🥰

I'm still looking for a self tanner for pale skin that gives a really deep reddish tan, more red than anything else like you just came right out of the sun, from a jog or something when that blood is flowing (not just your face). That red imo is what gives a healthy glow and is imo the most healthiest looking tan and you can't go wrong with for literally any skin tone. Everyone naturally gets this reddish blood flow in the sun or when being active. all other yellowish, green or orange self tanners gives that fake not out of the sun/outdoor tan. like a faked baked blonde barbie. Just give me that rosy glow all over my body instead of that orange/muddy looking tan
