It's honestly so helpful to see these updated lists, not only because they're fun and informational to watch, but also because you try so many new products that may not "stick" over time - love seeing updated holy-grail lists. You may try something you like, but it just never tops your HG products. I want to see both the fun, temporary "loves," AND videos like this... products that stand the test of time and are true game-changers. ♡_♡

Oh my goodness, I ordered the vanicream from the UK and I absolutely love it. It GLIDES on and I love the dewy look it gives. When I've just moisturised, I like my face to look as though I've just moisturised and it does that. My skin had cleared up so much in the few days I've been using it. Not because the vanicream has acne fighting properties but because my skin is so hyper sensitive that all my other moisturisers break me out. So excited to see a winter version of this video!

Hey Abbey! Hope you’re doing great back home with family and friends! Watching this older video made me think of something for you to try (if you haven’t) I know you’re all about doing things in your routine that keep chances of acne to an all time minimum. I also know you don’t really break out much anymore. However, there are other benefits to this. Mostly, it’s just the antimicrobial benefits, though. Anyway, it’s the clean towels (I use the original XL size) they also have bamboo ones. I make each one last at least two uses. But, it has helped my skin so much. I use it now instead of the reusable makeup towels (which i also love) but apparent any kind of towel can easily harbor bacteria (who knows how much of that is a gimmick) Anyway, just thought I’d share. Last thing.. I don’t know what it is about my skin but I swear every single thing you suggest… my skin loves. And my skin is sensitive, acne prone, gets pissed off so easily. So, clearly you’re onto something with our skin types. Skincare and complexion products… everything you suggest I’ve either already used and loved or use them because of you and love! Keep sharing. Thanks, your ky friend 😂

You have me hooked on Vanicream Daily Moisturizer. I have dry skin and I like it more than my thicker formulas. I also love Timeless Vitamin C, but I wish I could find it in a store. I did a “stranded on a desert island with only THREE skincare products” challenge with a few friends. Humid climate. No makeup. I chose a cream to foam cleanser, a high SPF tinted sunscreen which doubles as a moisturiser containing niacinamide, panthenol, ceramides, EGCG, and at a pinch can be worn at night (only 3 products remember 😬) plus my Tretinoin. That Tretinoin is a game changer.
@nataliegundersen96733 жыл бұрын
Just curious, which tinted sunscreen are you referring to? :)
@grazinasiale32673 жыл бұрын
@@nataliegundersen9673 I’m a formulating chemist and can make my own. You’ll rarely find a ss with all those ingredients. Reason being you rarely use a moisturiser like you do a sunscreen, you’d only use a fraction of the amount you’d need to provide you with SPF coverage and that’s not a good thing, I’m not a fan of moisturisers which double as a ss unless you are very diligent. This was a bit of a hypothetical challenge but if push came to shove, I’d use an Elta MD tinted or Paula’s Choice tinted, or one from Colourscience.

First of all I wanna say that I really enjoy watching your videos. You are great at what you do and your voice is very comforting and extremely watchable and relateable for me. So, thank you for what you do. Now, for my probably quite unpopular opinion in this group, but for me and my skin this just blows my mind that you are choosing "Just 10" for skincare products. You have stunning skin and are gorgeous!! But for me, that seems like quite a lot of skincare products and my skin would be going wild constantly putting so much on it lol. For me less is more in this category.. But I really did enjoy hearing you explain which and why for each one and it all makes sense but just kind of scares or intimidates my skin I guess. Lol..hopefully I dont have to get attacked for that but it just seems like sooo much to this girl. But I def want to thank you for all that you do, as I really do love your videos and explanations and wisdom and share many haircare likes and products and some makeup as well..although I'm a less-is-more makeup girl too I guess.. Im kinda boring🙄..maybe it's cuz I'm older and have a few kiddos and a handicapped sister I care for 24/7 and by the time it is actually time for ME I run out of energy and don't do as much as I should for myself and my skin🤷 Either way, keep bringin us the good content to keep everyone gorgeous..Now I will have some great recommendations and products to choose from if I decide to add some steps to my routine for sure! Thanks for the recommendations! I already use a few of these (Cerave, Vanicream), so that was good validation. I have rosacea on my face, particularly cheeks and nose, and I have dermatitis on my eyelids. With the rosacea, I sometimes get breakouts, even with using prescription Metrogel. My doctor recommended Differin gel, which I started using immediately. While it did help the pimples and pustules, it dried my cheeks and forehead terribly, to the point that I had dry flaky skin that looked like dandruff. I stopped using the Differin and the dryness was gone within days. Is the tretinoin you're recommending prescription or over the counter? I'm wondering if I might suffer the same fate from it as I did Differin? My dermatologist wrote a prescription for tretinoin for me, but since I'm not a kid with acne, my insurance was not going to pay for it and a tiny tube was going to be $60! Just curious of your thoughts on this. Also, I think I will try the Cerave ointment on my eyes to see what it does for my dermatitis. I've been using Aquaphor, but I'm very curious now. Thanks so much! Very informative video.
