Abby's Annual Kodiak Makeover

Abby has been working hard and cleaning out, de-cluttering, reorganizing and redecorating our Kodiak travel trailer in preps for this year's "Big Haul" which she has nicknamed Big Haul-A-Palooza! Each year she picks a new theme and decorates with different colors. This year's idea was based on "cactus" which to us represents the American Southwest and the direction our travels will be taking us. We are nearly ready to roll and cannot wait to see what lies ahead of us for this years Big Haul!

The SW. is so diverse !!! Desert, Mountains, Canyons, High Desert, Low Desert, Alpine, Cloudcroft.... Yuma, Tombstone, Az and NM have everything

Looks good! Rugs are a lot of fun. When I inherited my house from Mom (in 2021) she had throw rugs everywhere. The kicker was some of them were grippy and others would slip if you didn't step on them *just right*. Had to get rid of those. Falling at 64 ain't fun!

I wonder how high your toilet seat is from the floor. I bought a new Rockwood trailer and the toilet is ridiculously high. I'm 6-1 and my heels won't touch the floor! I'm buying a new one as soon as I find one the right height. I think yours is an Aqua Magic.

I'm lagging behind on your guys uploads but looking forward to watching the videos. How does the kodiak's stove work? you gotta hook up a propane tank or is it electric? watching this series every year makes me want to buy one, but i'd have to buy a truck capable of towing it first 🙃

It runs off of the propane. You have to light the pilot first then you can start it up but it’s all built into the controls. We’ve just never had a reason to use it ourselves since I cook outdoors.

My single pet peeve I have when camping are paper plates.. I hate them with a passion and a real no no to those eco warriors (which I am not). If I have people over when it's my turn to cook when camping with friends. They bring their own plates and cutlery, I'll handle any food waste disposal as host and then everyone takes their stuff back with them for washing. It's so successful doing it that we (me and all our friends who camp together) all take our plates and cutlery with us to whoever is cooking that night.
