@@16nowhereman Yeah, she’s young. That’s a valid point, but she’s older than Sha’ Carrri Richardson. Abby Steiner needs to start beating the worlds best when it’s head to head instead of putting up good times when Abby is the only talent in the field. Abby is strong, as running the curves shows. Abby also trains very hard. She may, one day, start beating the world’s best, but right now, she’s only dominant indoors. I do root for Abby. But I’ve never been overwhelmed by her times outdoors. I’m also not impressed by her arm swing. Her arms have too much side to side action which is kind of counter productive. If her arm swing is considered effective, the top tier runners would also use the same technique. But who am I but a complete idiot. Just ask my wife of thirty years.

@phoebus4 ай бұрын
Well three of them ran sub 22 in the finals, Richardson did it in the first two rounds but not the finals. Abby could have run under 22 in the semis but she eased up at the end. Abby did not have good race in the finals, part of the problem was caused by Richardson not having good a race. Abby was keying off Richardson who was one lane to her outside and thinking that Richardson would go out to another blistering first 100m Abby figured if she came off the turn close to Richardson she would be alright, problem was Richardson did not have a super fast first 100m leaving Abby behind the leaders that were further to the outside. And that was another problem, lane 5 on tired legs is not as good as one of the outside lanes and part of what happened is that even though Brown was in lane 9 Gabby had passed her so early in the turn that Brown was able pace her race by chasing Gabby in lane 8 and Long in lane 7 could do the same thing.

At the 2:35 mark, Abby Steiner gets teary and choked-up at not making the 2024 Olympic teams in the 100 meter or 200 meter. I wonder how she would have done in the 400 meter? She is such a classy girl.

given the nature o the injuries and time necessary to heal, the results are a really good indicator that your are on the mend...its tough in an olymmpic year, but take the good from this and take it slow. You'll be doing 21.80 again soon..

She's been getting her ass kicked in the 200m against the best sprinters since she left college. She just isn't good enough.

I have nothing against Abbey but being a British athletic fan I have to wonder why KZbin have been trying to push Abbey on to my watch list for the last 18months i wish her well but I want to watch up and coming British athletes.
