Not guaranteed anyway, but having main deck D Barrier, and the fact that 2 times TKDYZ went first and dropped Lithosagym the ABC guy had Brilliant Fusion and Instant Fusion heavily tilted the match in TKDYZ's favour.

If anyone ever asks what a die roll format win is, please use this video as an example. Sweet baby Naga that could have gone either way. Anyway, I'd say Chaos has a pretty good chance against Bujins due to the power of the ban list being at its disposal, but let's not forget Bujins LOVE floodgates, so I'll call 3-2 on this one.

@@ObsoletePerson no, the localisation is correct, the japanese version say "shinryu" for True Draco and "shinryu-o" for True King. The translation gives the impression that something is off because a literal translation would be "true dragon" and "true dragon king" which the TCG abbreviated to the aforementioned and thus dropping the "dragon" part that bridges both as part of the same archetype could be the source of this confusion. The point being that even the original cards make the naming distinction between both parts of the archetype.

Anyone else feel like the next cross banlist cup should feature actual side decks based on what decks are the group? Kinda gets old seeing a deck win just cause it won the dice roll and I feel like a side deck would make for a much more skilled and enjoyable cross banlist cup. But regardless love the content, keep it up.

Tried to tell people it was gonna be a close match but everyone thought it would be a blow out good job TKDYZ. Next week bujins over chaos. I'll give bujins credit because they can protect the castle well and lock your opponent to one monster if it isn't chaos emp than it will be a hard time. (I first thought chaos but i had to think hard and rewatch both matches)

One minor thing i noticed, Herald when made with the earth Yang Zing as synchro material, Bi'an i think it is, is protected from destruction by battle so you don't have to use true king of all calamaties to protect him from attacks.

I predict 3-2 for chaos next match. Chaos just has too many busted cards and the boss monsters like bls and ced get around most of the protection, but bujins do have a ton of protection from the destruction effects as well as kaiser colosseum so it’ll win a few games.

RIP ABC. They might have been able to pull the match if that Maxx C hadn't gotten hit with Ash Blossom. I'm gonna say Chaos 3-2 over Bujins. I feel like CED should be able to overwhelm anything Bujins can manage.

Yeah ash is a bullshit card if I played these formats I'd sock my opponent in his mouth cheap outs like that in a hand trap was unfair I quit right around 2016 and only messed with Toadally awesome ocg heroes I was building decks for cross banlist didn't really play The Meta at locals

@@kurtgrgelwrx8376 I doubt that assessment is true for the version of TD being played here, as it is the floodgate version. Zoo has main deck D Barrier which is useless, and Solemn Strike, ok it can do something but it's so easy to play around in TD.

@@kurtgrgelwrx8376 it really comes down to the players' knowledge but with this TD list you should be able to easily bait Drident into suing the effect then chaining Erupt to blowout their whole play. It's a bit harder to pull off going 2nd but TD does have multiple ways of capitalizing on that, and, as I mentioned, Zoo doesn't have any particularly effective counters to their strategy in the main.

I've seen a lot of CBC matchups like this, and it comes down to the die roll/RPS. Perhaps in this case the first deck to win going 2nd should win the match, like a sudden death if the 5th game is won by the deck that won the die roll?

For Chaos, If you are going to put Mirage of nightmare in the deck then why not the original version (not the second errata) where you could choose which card to discard during your standby phase? Also I feel if you do run that card you might need a second mst to destroy it when you have your key cards or it might help with back row. Lastly your fusion deck looks a little empty. Why not add Dark Paladin and Last warrior from another planet in case you get a chance to use metamorphosis on your monsters or opponents (snatch steal). P.S. Rooting For Chaos over Buijins

(I'm back!) Predicted: TKDYZ 60 Vs. ABC 40 Actual: TKDYZ 55 Vs. ABC 45 Close match up indeed! But ultimately ended up who would've gone first, wins the game. Not only that, but since ABCs loves them powercrepes so much, TKDYZ were the most dominant of the two. The whole engine itself synergizes perfectly and despite ABCs similar build up, Dinos were better and stronger. But make no mistake, ABCs could've taken this set since both sides did started off strongly against each other (and they both lost because of it). A battle of titans....A battle of monsters!

Very nice duels; bit of a die roll matchup, but that's okay, those happen. Also, small note, VFD does not need to protect Herald from battle as Bian already takes care of that. Anyway, Chaos will take the next one; Bujin is way too fair.
