Thanks Fuzzy. 7:10 Joel Murray ( Bill's brother) voiced Chester Cheetah for over a decade. Eagle Snacks was owned by Anheuser- Busch . Tony Randall and Jack Klugman appeared in a series of ads for the brand during the '80s- '90s. New Love American Style lasted less than one year on ABC Daytime.

This was the "Asian Quarter" story, which was somewhat notorious. The negative response pretty much guaranteed that the Asian characters introduced would be short-lived. I believe Tia also had problems with them as she wanted to leave to do The A-Team.

It's sort of interesting how Anna and Felicia don't have more of an interaction with Selina Wu considering that whole Asian Quarter storyline waaay back in 1985-86 involving Selina's grandfather Mr Wu and Brad Cooper's dad Kim Wu. I remember Robin was kidnapped by the Wu organization along with The Ancient One. I didn't really care for the storyline when it originally aired 39 years ago But it's cool revisiting this Era in GH history with th current storyline involving Selina Wu and Sonny Corinthos.

At the time this was something of a rebuilding era for OLTL, which was reflected in increased ratings, although the downside was so many longtime characters being written out (and wiping out of diversity).

The show as just about to get "cooking again" with the arrival of Cord Roberts , the Sanders family and most importantly MITCH LAWRENCE as a "cult leader" that had some of the younger people of the town under his power with his special "mind control iced tea". The show had a great run (late 1980s - early 1990s) - even though - the plots got pretty loony ( a lost city called "Eterna" , Vicki going to "Heaven" in a spaceship setting and the WORST for me - a time travel back to the old Wild West -- I hate WESTERNS ). And you actually felt sorry for Tina when she went over the falls in a row boat. By the mid 1990s - the show lost MANY of the original characters (especially the middle aged and older ones. Same thing happened to All My Children . Don't ask me about General Hospital because for whatever reason- I hated that show and Luke Spencer is just so unappealing to me - bad actor and gross looking )
