If a restaurant actually provides services, I don't mind tipping. However, when service is minimal, they don't deserve a 18% tips. Ever since the pandemics a lot of restaurants in San Francisco post a QR code on the table, I order and pay via my phone. They still dare to charge a minimal of 20% mandatory tips + 5% SF health mandate.

Good observation. Thumbs up for you. You could watch PBS, which is funded by some foundations, public subscribers, & even taxpayers. It has maybe a minute of mentions of sponsors, & the rest is news. Also, BBC is very good quality. They have a BBC for America news service. If you don't want to watch those, you can use search engines & listen to the radio. Oh, and READ news either in paper or digital form. I hope this helps.

I think that make sense but now hospitals are for emergencies. I think urgent cares help keep the emergency rooms less busy but a lot of urgent cares don’t accept that patients that have Medicade and Medicare I am not sure how this will happen but I know the military had access to internet prior to citizens. I think the illiteracy should be addressed concerning AI and technology. I created an application and I debated with working with the state of Texas or with my private business to create an application for the service.

I’m only going to comment on the “Tips at the register” My opinion on this is “ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? 1sr of all I can never find someone if I am having trouble locating a product. And 2nd I don’t remember filling out not only an application but a W-3 for working at the store finding my own groceries then I have to scan and bag it too? And 3, and the most irritating to me. I’m a server and have been one for over 20 years I make 4:25 before tips. Now let me fill you in on something you’re clearly unaware of. Since the pandemic, a switch flipped in people. It’s like they have literally forgot how to behave as a normal person. Just the lack of self awareness is off the charts. People talk at you and not to you. And it seems a large percentage of people have main character syndrome and it’s hard to go in every day cos ya know it’s coming. So until server’s are pain $15-19$ an hr to start like the people working in the grocery stores do cos every industry it seems like had to wake up and realize people can’t afford freaking food! So all the wages had go up to get employees to work. But I’ll give ya 1 guess which industry didn’t get that raise???? Ty -Kim O

These men would have some kind of "rexia" regardless of the world's social constructs. I'm almost 50, & the attitude around that caveman-esque "strong man only real man" mentality, was just as prominent when I was a kid as it is today. I dare say more so even. The world started changing after films like "Revenge of the Nerds" & "The Breakfast Club" in the mid-80's. Thank you John Hughes. I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it's true. All the Nerd-cons we have today, that peeps younger than 30 takes for granted, they were not cool back in the day, but musclebound wrestlers, movie stars & athletes were. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Savage, Mr. T, those were the big stars in the 80's. News programs act like they have no memory of the past in order to sensationalize everything in the present. I was fortunate to be born with a muscular frame that I never had to work on, & when I did, I looked like a bodybuilder within a matter of weeks, but I'm more of the intellectual type, so I didn't follow those pursuits past the early teen years, & became a professional musician & artist. Only over the past couple years have I ever gained any kind of weight, but did I run out & become a gym rat? No. I realized I needed to eat better & after a few months of that, the weight came off. I have self-respect & understand that my self-worth isn't based on my body, but it took real work to get to that place. If/when these men realize that, they'll learn to love themselves however they look.

The tip debate. If your ordering straight through the place your getting the food and they are so worried about their drivers getting tipped they can either not charge a delivery and I can give a bigger tip or they can tip their drivers with the delivery charge....same things with these app like uber eats ect. All those extra charges take some of those away and the tip will be bigger. I grew up tipping 3$ to a delivery driver . Today with inflation I try to give 5 or 6$

The ONLY REASON we should tip is for service. If a person is 'waiting' on you hand & foot, they deserve to get paid. That's working. Everyone needs to get paid fairly for working. We don't tip at the grocery store. The firniture store. The hardware store. The dress shop. We should tip anytime someone waits on us. Unless you know for a fact they make over $120K per annum. Then don't tip!

I think there should be a new way to tip. On most receipts you have the name of the person who assisted you during the check out process. The customer could at a later time go on the website according to what's printed on the receipt and use a reference number and staff name to give a tip and review. This will only be possible when using some form of electronic payment at the time of check out. Another way is giving a tip at the website with a debt card, gpay, samsung pay, or apple pay after the fact if the customer paid with cash during the check out. In this fashion the customer dont have to feel awkward or pressured to tip big or tip at all.

Task & Purpose ran a story where the AI "killed" its operator during an exercise that was being conducted. As a student of Web Design, even moe of my instructors told a class he didn't trust AI. After working with Bing and a few others programs, I''m staying as far as I can from AI. I'll learn it from a defensive POV. As for the medical maternal care 'deserts', I regard that as part of the "war" on women regarding abortion planning which Congress and the conservatives have waged against women. I do believe that lack of medical care will get worse until conservatives wake up to what they've done to women's health.

There's decades of bad practice in maternal care - and birth - in the US. The Netherlands have a high rate of uncomplicated pregnancy/ birth, and they continue to practice midwife care and home birth - their hospitals feature special tanks for water births, which is discouraged in U.S. hospitals - but this mom of four swears it is the best way to birth, and I've experienced hospital, midwife at home, hospital again (the "Cadillac, which makes it impossible to feel your own body - MOST unsatisfactory,) and birthing center with midwife and birth in tub.
