Dave Ward is one to never forget. He was the absolute best at his job. He was incredibly professional with his soothing voice and calm fatherly demeanor. We loved the way he interacted with his co-workers. We respect him and will be always grateful for the wonderful reporting he gave us each night at 6PM and 10PM. He made us feel like he was family. We applaud him and are so happy he was honored today! ✨✨✨✨💖💖✨✨✨

Good to see that Dave Ward has gotten similar recognition as his fellow ABC O&O legend Jim Gardner of WPVI 6ABC in Philly (that he has a sign near the studios of KTRK ABC13 in Houston as Dave Ward Place, just as Gardner does outside the 6ABC studios in the City of Brotherly Love as Jim Gardner Way).
