I along with my sisters and brother were all on Kitirk. Watched it all the time. What I would give to find copies of the show any of us were on. My wonderful Mom always tried to make our birthdays special. A couple of us were on Mary Janes’s Magic Castle and one on Captain Bob. Kitirik was the best she was a wonderful person. Didn’t really appreciate as kids but certainly realized when we got older. Thank you KTRK-TV for making that happen.

Back in the day, it was Kitirik and Cadet Don! My brother and I watched both in the early '60s. MY birthday present was under the couch!

I was her regular letter carrier in the 90's. I didnt see her show when I was a kid because I grew up in another town. But let me tell you, she is just about the sweetest person you'll ever meet. There were a couple other TV personalities on that route, a minor movie star, and a few other celebrities. None as sweet as she is. I'm not and never was just wowed and awed by celebrities, they're just people to me. And Kitty is a great person.

My sister and I (along with our Girl Scout troop) were so privileged to be in the live studio audience of the Kitirik show in the early 1960's. She provided such goodness and charity and was a great role model to so many. It is something I will remember always with fondness. Thanks to Dave Ward, I am very happy and pleased to watch this recent interview. Mrs. Orsak looks marvelous and has lived a wonderful life.

Great to see this. Along with a great interview from her, there's something about an announcer voice...not the fake shout Sunday SunDAY SUNDAY kind of thing, the true announcer rumble that's just neat to listen to.

I read there was a replacement Kitirik in '65 and '66 named Toni Burke. Wonder why? Oh, and that's 20s Jazz icon Cliff "Ukelele Ike" Edwards third from upper-right at 4:49.

I remember going to the show for a birthday party. They had the nest where she talked to the kids. I was so shy but all of a sudden this tall man came and picked me up out of the audience. I got picked to take a card out of the rolling bin. When we went back to the house for the party we got to watch it on tv. Ive also been in the paper twice for the rodeo western wear contest. Won at my school and another picture coming to the rodeo. Chuck Connors and Johnny Crawford performed.

Kitirik : my favorite human kitty. In the 1950s my mom took me to attend the show. And I got an autographed photo from Kitirik. And I often watched the show from home. My favorite TV show of all was “WEIRD” on Saturday nights on KTRK. It showed a wide diversity of horror films.
