I don’t care if he is straight or gay...he is freaking amazing!!!! Love him for being him and could careless about his sexuality. Sad though that he felt like he couldn’t be honest because worrying about being judged. We all need to stop judging. I love this guy!!! Not to mention he is a true athlete!!!

Good for him! My deceased older brother was gay and struggled with alot of things because of it, yet it wasn't a choice of his. I have a special place in my heart for all LGBTQ members of the church and LGBTQ BYU students.

Being gay and LDS isn't something you'll often see work... most of us leave the church to save our sanity. I hope he finds happiness and isn't afraid to make the decisions that are best for him.

This guy is an amazing guy and dancer. The first time I watched that video of Cosmo and the Cougarettes squad dancing, I was blown away. As a matter of fact it was the first time I’d heard of them. He needs to be him regardless of what anyone else wants him to be. We only get one chance to play ourselves in this life.

Brother Bird used his God given talents to bring “Cosmo” to life and made us all fall in love with a "cougar" costume! And... he did this without saying one word. How many of us could do that? We are all responsible for realizing and developing the talents our Heavenly Father blesses us with so that we might be a blessing to others. I believe Brother Bird has gone far and beyond, and brought joy to many hearts 💞 That’s amazing!

Just to clarify (as far as the somewhat incomplete commentary by the broadcaster): Gay or straight- the honor code at byu is about moral purity. It doesn't matter what your sexual orientation is. Go Charlie! Blessings to you.

Gay is only a sexual preference it's not his identity. The man had talent shooting out his fingertips. Wish people understood gay is not their identity. Yes, I have gay family, my best friend is gay and they call it sexual preference not literally who they are. Hope he has found peace, he's absolutely amazing!!!!!!!

Why do people making coming out as gay a big deal yet get mad when its treated as unequal
@kimberlyhelm8556 Жыл бұрын
I’m so happy for you. But I’m surprised your not Jewish . Berg?
@KLP994 жыл бұрын
And he was called Master Mahan and he gloried in his wickedness. And wo to those who seek the praise of man. Why does it matter if you're gay? Live your life in quiet humility. Except that dang commandment about being clean. It applies to everyone, straight or gay. I have gay friends. They haven't "come out" because they actually understand that it doesn't change anything.
@astrowuff4 жыл бұрын
BYU just removed homosexual activity from its honor code and you want to pretend like it's always been okay to be gay. This is why coming out is still a big deal because people demonize and vilify it to this very day. www.sltrib.com/news/education/2020/02/23/byus-lgbtq-students-feel/
@donquijote60303 жыл бұрын
@@astrowuff - Citing the SLTrib is hardly corroboration of anything other than an anti-LDS and anti-BYU bias that has existed for nearly 150 years. Ironic that a leftist would claim a desire for tolerance when they are the most intolerant in society.
@donquijote60303 жыл бұрын
Who cares?
@jeffc13473 жыл бұрын
The point is that BYU is a Mormon school and being gay is not allowed.
@donquijote60303 жыл бұрын
@@jeffc1347 - BYU is not a "Mormon" school. There is no such thing as a "Mormon" school. Imprecision of labels aside, the question remains. Who cares? There is a reason that homosexuality is not allowed by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Why might that be?
@jeffc13473 жыл бұрын
@@donquijote6030 Well this school is owned and operated by the Mormon church and [literally] 99% of its students are Mormon, how does that not qualify as a Mormon school?
