If the person can not be seen getting out of the car it is hard to claim a person walking from under the bridge even if the only one is the culprit. I honestly don't know why more of these guys don't just head straight for downtown LA. with all the buildings and overpasses it's hard for a chopper to follow you, and with all the traffic if you're driving good enough the pursing cars will almost always pull off the chase, there's another video of a white hellcat outrunning the chopper and I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same driver cause dude had nearly identical driving skills and moves.

You got to admit. the escape was pretty good. High speeds pulls off PD; go to certain areas; last go under a bridge to void helicopters. Either blend in with crowd under pass or have someone have a car ready under there. 🤔🤔🤔

Good visual ad for that F-Type. I'm buying one in black.

This is basically how a lot of these drivers get away. They know the police will back off. Then they go ghost under the under pass.

imagine if he closed the door when the car came under the bridge, The chopper would still think he is in it while he already gone for minutes.

I love Jaguars. Had two of them. Lots of power and performance to go that fast in the city. Have not gotten to the end of the clip. I hope no one gets hurt.
@calestial24574 ай бұрын
None got hurt but the F-Type did, since it bumped into a few stopped vehicles and finally hitting a stoplight, the guy got away while the car was under an expressway and the car just rolled out into sight without him in it
@noahboat58011 ай бұрын
With how that jaguar was rolling at the end, it wouldve been easier to just simply hold the car back and hope that you can creep it to a stop. Seeing that cop try to go for the door was kinda funny, especially with how far it rolled on the road

Ever take your foot off the brake in a car with an automatic transmission? Most cars just roll under their own power at 1 to 2 mph on a perfectly level street. It takes a fairly significant incline for a vehicle to do nothing at all when taking the foot off the brake. In other words, it wasn't going to stop of its own accord until it ran into something stationary and immovable like the light pole at the end. Good luck with trying to stop 2,500 lbs of steel, glass, and plastic at any speed with your own physical strength. That's like benching at least 500 lbs continuously. Police generally don't put in that much effort. The attempt at the door was reasonable, if ultimately futile.

How odd? Unless someone was waiting under the bridge in another car. Then he is not on foot.

There is a transit station entrance under that overpass. Most likely took public transit to get away, or just walked away as a pedestrian.
@alinacannone154011 ай бұрын
You can only catch a short glimpse with this video and view(10min 25sec mark) but on cbs you can see someone walking out super slow the same direction of the rolling vehicle. 🤷♀️ The stupid thing is they immediately were looking for someone running and the opposite way.

There's cameras everywhere. They'll see his face unless he was smart enough to cover his face
@Vandicoup10 ай бұрын
Maybe, maybe not. But I can still see it happening. Especially in a densely-covered city, there's a ton of places to run to, duck in/under, get lost in, etc. It helps if they never even got a desc of the driver to begin with. You can just blend in with normal foot traffic so long as you obviously don't look like a runaway fugitive and don't do anything stupid.
