He probably makes more than that. Many of the MTA union workers clock over half a million dollars in OT.

I was there a few months ago and their buses move way faster than NYC buses. Congestion pricing is about moving people faster, not just individual cars.

You could give the MTA 90 billion and they still would mismanage the money. The trains would still be late and the service would still be horrible. The F&M trains would never arrive, subway stations and cars would still smell like piss, people would still be murdered. The Chambers street station would still be on the brink of collapsing on itself. And who in there right mind made Janno Lieber leader of the MTA. I'd sooner have Garfield running the MTA than this buffoon.

How about you fix the fare beaters? You've stated, that you are losing $700-$800 million from people not paying each year. If you do that, you will solve the shortfall you would have gotten from congestion pricing.

I agree. And also, how about not spending 1.4 billion on overtime like they did in 2023. With those 2 things right there that is 2 billion dollars down the drain. I know that some of the overtime was needed because of callouts, vacations, etc, but I seriously doubt 1.4 billion worth.

@brayg488 I agree with that. What I can't understand about the plan is them charging people to LEAVE the congestion zone. That makes no sense if the goal is to reduce traffic.
