In 1992 I was single and I had 2 cats. I applied for a mortgage at my bank. The male loan officer basically told me that if I wanted to own a house someday I should get married. When I left his office I immediately closed my bank account as I knew that we would never do business. Later that year I secured a mortgage and I paid off my house in 16 years.
@terrimurray50434 ай бұрын
Sorry for veering so far off topic point: Jon & Desi are Brilliant & Trump is So Idiotic its Insane. But I felt compelled to reply to Ms. Gloria Scott's Financing Ordeal: Dear GS: I feel you Girlfriend. And your indignation but I rather focus on celebrating your triumph! "Go Gloria! Co Gloria!" Too bad you didn't sue the first bank for being a "NON-Equal Opportunity Lender" engaged in blatant discrimination. That would be for the actual amount denied. Doors never opened. Plus sue for damages for traumatizing you by placing a misogynistic idiot in a position of power to deny a qualified loan candidate her Constitutional Amendment right to homeownership. As a black woman I encountered the same insanity via BofA. They bent me over and microscoped me, nitpicked my life back to infanthood. The officer made me jump through hoops, over hurdles, then swim the channel swaddled in fishnets tangled with dead weights. Every time I prevailed she went out of her to make up ridiculous requests making every step take 10X longer and be more stressful than need be. This white female loan officer was clearly envious of my account balance and was jealous of professional achievements at half her age. Once the loan finally came through, I went to review the paperwork and made a point of the long grueling hours she worked for the stated commission. Then, in a totally non-threatening manner, I stood up and calmly ripped the Bof A offer to shreds and let the pieces rain down on her desktop. (Moved slowly so as not be charged with a felonious papercut attack) Then opened my briefcase and showed her my new 100% better-terms mortgage. The witch had a shocked, dumbfounded look that gave way to panicked devastation when she realized she'd wasted 200 hours and didn't make a dime. BofA came through with the loan, so I could not sue. Sure I'd saved 10's of 1000s. But her look of of total resignation that she was outsmarted and now understood that disrespecting a soul sister could undermine her bottomline...was priceless!

During a video of an interview with a Congress member recently, someone said that a proposal was being entertained to stop tax on tips, but that Kamala didn't agree with the idea until Dems in congress filled in the gaping loopholes (Ex: capped amount), because otherwise big corporations could restructure their business models to call all sorts of payments "tips' thus avoiding taxes. It wasn't until I heard about this loophole issue that I understood why Trump would even suggest making tips tax-free 🤔 Reminds me of the "backdoors" he installed into the "magnanimous" prison reform order during his Presidency.

Trump wanted to give bosses the right to take their employees tips, but congress (both sides) put the cabash on it. If trump gets back in, he will make tips tax free, but give bosses the right to take them. Trump is not for workers, he is only for the billionaires who give him money.

YOURE THE ONES KILLING AMERICA. Who in their right logical minds wants to vote in an incapable woman who has funded two sides of two wars, inflated us over 10%, has caused americans over $20,000/year less from INFLATION by her "no drilling no natural gas" policy. She's caused homelessness to occur at over 200% from fentanyl addiction and poisoned/killed over 150,000 americans from Mexican fentanyl in 2023. Only 35,000 gun deaths in 2023 to give you an idea how OUTRAGEOUS ITS BECOME. WAKE UP AMERICA.
