I LOVE Juliette and Glen's friendship. His line to Jeff made me guffaw! The most recent episode really explores their father/daughter type of relationship. Even when she rejected him in season 1, he still wouldn't abandon her when he knew she needed someone who didn't want to "take" from her.

Yeah, I really like relationship between Glen & Juliette. I thought this scene was especially good since so much of the time Juliette is upset (often with Glen) and we see Glen trying to calm her down and keep from being her own worst enemy. But here you see that he really enjoys and admires her feistiness. Plus I'm really glad Juliette stuck it to Jeff; he's a bully, especially where women are concerned. Between Rayna & Juliette, I'm thinkin' Jeff's going to be really sorry he moved to Nashville.

Skyebright1 Excellent observation. I hadn't really thought of it that way, but it's true. The scene where Juliette is drunk and throwing up, and Rayna holds her hair back, reminded me of how my mother used to do that when I as a sick little girl. In a way, Rayna is very maternal toward many of the younger female artists, like Scarlett, just like Deacon is kind of a dad or uncle toward the young guys like Gunner. I think that's why I don't like Luke for Rayna very well; it's all about business with him.

Of all the people on this show the two I was always most impressed with were Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton. Neither are singers by trade - mostly actors who had some limited singing experience. They both worked particularly hard when cast for this show and trained their voices with professionals to improve it. Even more amazing, Hayden Panettiere worked her way through postpartum depression and took a break from this show for awhile while she fought her way through that as well. In comparison the other actors on the show were mostly actors who were known for singing, or in the case of Lennon Stella and her sister, were singers who became actors.

I like her and Avery together as a couple too.... they started off as "Star" and "roadie/guitarist"... then they got to be friends...and now that they have feelings for each other, one very important thing has remained the same... Avery understands her, but he likes her anyway...and he's not afraid to call her on her bullshit...but, when she's being real and vulnerable, he appreciates that and is so sweet to her..... I think he's good for her, exactly what she needs :)
