It’s not an insult at all, even if you aren’t a Swift fan. Both are women who are iconic. Celebrities aren’t rare, enigmas who are their own empire and brand only come a few times a century.

@@soccermommyNPC Ms. Swift has her own special talents, and a slew of devoted fans who love every little thing she does. But the comparison with Elizabeth Taylor is inapt. Just a facile thing to say, without actually thinking it out. I encourage you to see Elizabeth Taylor in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" and try to imagine Taylor Swift attempting that level of sheer brilliance. That was only ONE of her many great achievements.

There's a new biography about Taylor and Burton coming out next January, 2024. Dunno what else could be written about them. But, I guess, there is still interest.
