I am in awe of Elizabeth Taylor in this particular interview. She is ravinshly BEAUTYFULL AND EXTREEMLY CANDID. I had the great honor of meeting Dame Elizabeth before she even was bestowed such honor by Queen Elizabeth. It was exactly October 17, 1987 and about 19. I was totally frozen at her ENORMOUS BEAUTY!! She is petite woman in stature but her incomparable beauty is breathtaking. I am sure she wanted to slap at asking for a second picture of her and me however, she was such a great trooper and so down to earth and magnificently relaxed. It was an autom day in San Francisco at the first MACYS PASSION PROMOTION. She was wearing a dress much like the smart dress she’s wearing in this awesome interview that captures the most relaxed demeanor in which Miss Taylor has been presented. That day the massive lights from the photographers didn’t dim her breath takeing BEAUTY. I gently placed my hand around that impossibly tiny waste as he table hoped at each of her invited guests for tea. I guess I still have not recovered after 34 years of haveing had the extreem honor of meeting this extraordinary lady. I relish the idea that I was able to meet her and to be one of the first to give her a check for the AIDS cause because thanks to her the world is much safer and GREATFULL to her substancial efforts at placeing this dreadful illness on the worlds conscience. I treasure this moment for the rest of my adult life. Elizabeth Taylor, her foundation and beautyfull children are doing a spectacular job at keeping her legacy very much alive. I adore you DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR!!❤️🙇🏻‍♂️🤧🇺🇸🥂👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

@@sandrashevey8252 Absolutely .... couldn't agree with you more, 👏 my only realization of the whole sham, was ... Taylor's ( people) at that time were very much in control of such like ... I doubt she was not briefed on what was to come ahead of time ...especially, since that hideous photo of her getting out of a car at Studio 54 .. had been used before on the Phil Donahue and was in her book " Elizabeth Takes Off " which remember she was promoting ...she has walked out on far more important people including a head of state!

@@chuckcummins9149 She `might` have had her own agenda but basically she was a pawn for studio porn, Aids, etc. Eddie Fisher`s autobiography (and this was censored by his daughter Carrie who bought off the candid comments about Debbie Reynolds) says a great deal about Taylor. A studio product, she was raised on porn and to cater for porn as this is how the studios financed their films. The meat market marriage bazaar did not die in the Middle East. It was alive and well at MGM in the `Golden Days`. Aspel humiliated her. She was complicit. Somehow it fit within her modus operandi. This is why I complain about Taylor as antifeminist and a sexist pawn/tool in `Down With Myth America` (by Sandra Shevey) NYTimes 24 May 1970

She promoted her nauseating perfume on fragrance strip samples in all the magazines and Sunday newspapers. I could smell them coming up the block. Not to say she wasn't beautiful and good-natured. She was. She may even have been unaware of the pollution she caused. I am highly skeptical Elizabeth herself was a brilliant businessmammal. Same with Frank Sinatra. I believe each had the good sense and good fortune to employ savvy, honest management.

See, unlike everyone else I don’t really consider him (interviewer) that rude. I just think he is tremendously English and stiff………. That doesn’t translate very well to most other people…… that being said, the one thing I can say I found so completely rude and condescending was when he asked for a story about the Duke and Duchess of Windsor: and obviously he became nasty towards her, and dismissed the story completely after Elizabeth said she wanted the Duchess to smile….. He then proceeded to say something that might as well be “and you have so much money that you can do whatever the hell you want so fuck you”. You could see she was pissed. You do no mess with Elizabeth Taylor and those she loves. That was one great human being. RIP Elizabeth Taylor & Her (well deserved) Royal Highness The Duchess of Windsor. ❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹❤️🙏🏼 I cannot stand gaslighting, and I cannot stand the mistreatment of the Duchess of Windsor. I think it’s about time those people just let it go and start giving some respect where it’s due. That was a whole other can of worms, and the truth was much more tough to swallow at a detriment to that lady that we can ever imagine.

@6:00 the only thing I take issue with is when she said we were there to cure ourselves. There is no cure. You can turn your life around and become sober, but sobriety is work. And you have to take it one day at a time. But you are never cured. You can always relapse and you can never drink again part of being sober is admitting that you’re not in control when you drink and you’re always going to have the temptations.

@@karinaaguiar7154 Nothing to do with it. She was primed as a child for the brothel. Funny as she came from a family which was reasonably well off. Her father was a respected art collector and dealer. Her mother had been an actress and was on the inside with Hedda Hopper, Greta Garbo and others. They exploited their daughter mercilessly and what they did not do the studio (MGM) did. Late in life, she accused her `mother` of putting her `on the road to ruin`. She was right!
