This happened to me in college. I reported it to the police but nothing was done. I went to private lawyers when police did nothing and they told me, "This is a small town. People are going to say, "Why were you in his room" - they will blame you. We don't recommend you press charges or file a civil suit. This was in 1991. There wasn't even real therapy on campus. Nothing. It's haunted me for many, many years.

It's the fact that he performed sexual acts on her while she was unconscious & then when asked about it, he straight up lied to her about it. At that point I would've felt taken advantage of as well

I experienced this for years, I found it a struggle to find someone with the same situation. This happens more often than we realize. I hope she is healing well and happy.
