I lost my Dad to a situation similar to this. He was a cop in Chicago. He pulled over to help a stranded guy and when he got out the dude just charged him. He ended up stabbing my Dad 12 times and then fled on foot. In the hospital my Mom asked him why he didn't shoot him and he said the man was black and he didn't know if the guy had a weapon. She asked why did it matter if he was black and he replied because I didn't want to be called a racist if I killed him. 😠 A few days later an infection set in and it killed him. To this day when I hear an unarmed man I think how my Dad must have felt. Taking the chance and paid with his life!!!!!

@@anthonyd2923 What I’m saying is not an opinion. It is a fact! There are hoods in every major city in America. America is still segregated. It’s just that MOST white people don’t feel it because they don’t have to, which is a result of the segregation from our past! Go to any major inner city. In America Brooklyn Baltimore Chicago Memphis Oakland Miami etc etc there is a predominantly white side and a Predominantly black or brown neighborhood I’m not asking you I’m telling you. The predominantly black or brown neighborhoods are those you would never want to live and you would never send your child to go school expecting them to make something of themselves. And right on time just like they want you to do you begin to blame Democrats. Democrats and Republicans are American constructions. American ghettos and hoods and projects are an American construct. They were developed and designed just like suburbs Americans designed it and control. America did that. America separated us so that the white folks don’t have to experience it. It’s so separated that white folks don’t believe it exists. You’re a privileged man thank your white forefathers this was their vision.

If you watching this, Please take some time to do REAL research on this case. EVIDENCE SHOWS that Wilson shot Brown WHEN HE WAS RUNNING AWAY FROM HIM. Wilson shot him multiple times including in the head. What is the justification for killing someone you already shot & is injured? He states that he saw the bullet go through his head once he was already on the ground but ask yourself WHY would a person shot another someone in the head when they are already down and no longer a “threat” as Wilson claims. There is NO justification for that. The truth is Darren Wilson has to lie in order to protect himself because he knows the truth and I hope it eats away at his soul. All I ask is if your watching this, take some time to do REAL RESEARCH because what is coming out of Wilson’s mouth is utter bullshit.

So you’re saying the Obama-Holder Justice Dept. DIDN’T do “rEaL rEsEaRcH”? And I suppose that YOU went to the scene, took measurements and photos, interviewed witnesses, and got forensic evidence from Wilson’s vehicle? 🙄
@lexp8594
@lexp8594 3 жыл бұрын
@@PanhandleFrank Excuse me and WHO exactly are YOU? I clearly stated, anyone who is watching this video, should do real research on the case. Don’t just believe the words of someone accused for murder because of course they are going to deny it. Look at Research including the autotopsy report, the fact that a lot of the evidence was tampered with so that it could be dismissed in court and the statements made by forensic scientist that PROVE that Wilson shot Brown multiple times including fatal shots to the head.... Actually even Wilson HIMSELF on this video confesses that he shot him in the head once Brown was already down on the ground. Why would anyone shot someone in the HEAD (a fatal wound) once that person is already down on the ground with Six bullet wounds already in their body? Have you ever been shot? It is almost impossible for Brown to have been “charging” for Wilson after having been so wounded. Wilson himself admitted that he looked DOWN at Brown on as he was falling to the ground and aimed for his head and shot his head. If Brown was already on the ground INJURED how could he have possibly still been a “threat” to Wilson? HOW is someone a threat with Multiple shots in their body to the point that they are collapsing on the ground with their hands UP begging for him to stop shooting. Wilson HIMSELF says that as he saw Brown fall to the ground, he proceeded to AIM and shot him in the head. Why not just arrest him at that point? There’s not justification for taking the life of an UNARMED child. Evidence proves that there was no weapon on Brown. In addition the actual bullet placements on Browns body tell the truth of what happen. That is REAL evidence. Think to yourself what was the intent? If you shot someone in the head after they have already been shot MULTIPLE times it is not because you want them to live. Wilson did not even look remorseful or sad about watching him die? This is sick. Like I said, look into more research on the case and before you comment on my comment. Thank you

That was not the question from Stephanopalous. Steph. asked COULD you have done anything differently, as in 'was it possible to do anything differently?.' That is an entirely different meaning. Wilson is saying he does not see how it would have been possible to choose any different outcome. He had no other choices available to him. The investigation has confirmed his account. Steph. keeps mentioning these witnesses during the interview that contradict his account. He's trying to prosecute him all over again, but by the time Steph is talking about these so-called witnesses, they are already proven to have lied in their testimony. Why is there still this expectation for Wilson to make things right when Brown was attempting to kill him? What is he supposed to say? "I'm so sorry I did not let myself be killed that day?" Why can't the truth just be acknowledged?

I believe him. And I've heard it all. The man defended his life and that cost the other man his life. Our constitution and laws give us the right to use deadly force to defend one's self or others against threats or perceived threats, even to the point of applying lethal force, regardless of whether safely retreating from the situation might have been possible. So the officer would've been equally within the law to use deadly force against Mr. Brown whether a police officer or just an ordinary citizen. Nobody wants to see a cop kill a human being but when it's kill or be killed, common sense should make you all understand why this cop killed the man. I'm sorry but if it comes down to me or the other person in a potentially deadly altercation, the other man is a dead man.

@@lulabell79_31 His name was Micheal not Geroge that's first. Secondly his defense was that he was over powered, and scared to death of the young man, no your first defense is not to kill, only your only option. He had several oportunities to do something other then killing him. Retreat if you can first is always the number one rule within leathal force engagement safely, your only option becomes lethal force. So just because the Constitution states you have rights in regards to defending yourself does not mean you can mow people down in cold blood, it means your last resort. This officer had MANY other options he chose to be judge ,jury, executioner...I read every detail of this case including all reports that whole dept had an issue with blacks, arresting blacks , and killing blacks, including judges, courts etc there proved to be racist. Huge investigation into that claim, so don't sit there with your comments acting like you know otherwise . I totally believe this officer, and I would have done the same thing. People are commenting that if this officer had "just let them walk down the middle of the street and be on their way"... all would have been fine! SURE!! Michael Brown was proven to have JUST robbed a store, and confronted this officer with foul language, and ignored the officers request to use the sidewalk and stop walking in the center of the street. What in that statement made to Michael Brown... was offensive? This officer was in FACT, doing his job in keeping the peace, and keeping people safe from being hit by a car, or preventing somebody from accidently hitting him. It is astonishing how many people are commenting on this... that the officer in this case just "shot an innocent black man on purpose", as a raciest cop!! Again... if the color of their skin had been reversed.... NOBODY would have thought a thing about it!

As far as remorseful... I can see how you would feel bad for his loved ones for the grief and pain his death caused them, but if he truly felt in fear for his life, and I believe he did, then I can see how it would be hard to feel remorse for killing someone who would've certainly killed you if you hadn't used deadly force to protect yourself. Feeling justified in doing that is completely normal, I would think, and if you feel justified, you're not going to feel overly remorseful if any, at all. If I have to kill someone because they are coming at me with intent to kill me, don't expect me to have remorse.

Having once been in an incident where my life was threatened by a person with a loaded gun, I can assure you the last thing that you think about in that moment is, is this guy white or black, it's I hope I don't die, and trying to make every good decision in that moment to stay alive. in my case the man was Asian all people threatened remained calm, the man drove off, and several of us reported it to the police, he was apprehended less than one hour later and arraigned. Having lived through that situation I am not justifying all these killings but you cannot convince me that in that moment people have the thought of the person's race on their mind, if they did our society would be a lot worse than it is. It would mean that people's hatred for others is beyond their own awareness and exceeds their instinct of self preservation.

The key statement he made to me is when he said, "If he "Mike Brown" got on the sidewalk as did Dorian Johnson" then they would have just been passing ships in the ocean. That is all it took. You have to ask yourself if this was an execution as suggested why did he do this when he "Mike Brown' had a friend there witnessing the whole thing and why didn't he shoot Dorian Johnson? I don't like the Cops, but Mike Brown apparently didn't think he could die, and that was proven wrong.

From what I gather, the black suspect was robbing a liquor store, and from his uncooperative behavior, led to his shooting? The video shows him aggressively pushing the store clerk away, so I believe the cop's story when he called the cop a pussy and didn't have the guts to shoot him. A bully type kind of man who is overly aggressive - I agree at the moment the right move was to shoot him, but maybe the head shot was excessive.

I don't think anybody disputes that Michael Brown might have disrespected Darren, or even punched him. But what's illogical is that Darren shot him once, then Michael ran away fearing for his life, and then suddenly Michael stops and decides to run towards the cop to get the final 5 or so shots with one in the head. What's more logical, is that Michael stopped because he was afraid and then got executed.

One question for officer Wilson- if the earlier call reported "strong arm robbery" and these are suspects - why position your car in such a vulnerable position? Did you really think you could stop and have a little talk? Maybe? But why not position the car so it is between you and them - protecting you when you talk? Maybe just lack of training, but you clearly were in a vulnerable position trying to get out of the car just feet from the people you suspect might be violent? Why would they just stand there and talk if they robbed a store? Once attacked you are telling the truth. But you did not take precautions earlier to avoid the conflict. Maybe in your experience people did not attack you for getting out of the car --- but they did that day. What about this "training".

I don't know what happened here but I think everybody better listen and talk to cops wisely...if not, you may trade off your life. And that's not worth it.

These kids were just walking and this guy aggressively approached them and told them to get on the side walk. No cars were coming, and people walk in the street of neighborhoods all the time. I’ll tell you what he could’ve done differently..... he could’ve first asked them “how are you guys doing today?” And then gone on to say, “for your safety, it’s best that you walk on the sidewalk”. Just imagine how that would’ve changed the entire encounter. Treat people with kindness and don’t use your position to impose your authority on others.

You DO know Brown assaulted a convenience store owner right before this incident, right?

sorry your lying. you could have tazed him first. Plus, why would an unarmed teen charge at a fully armed cop.

He didn't want to go to jail for robbing the store. Teens always make prideful and dumb decisions that leave their parents in mourning.

My understanding is that Wilson got a favorable settlement too. I gather he started collecting his full pension immediately. It might have been even more favorable, because if he had pushed a suit for wrongfully termination before a white jury, he likely would have won. As unpleasant as his life was during the matter, I think he had a good ending.
