I lost my youngest son to a piece of trash with a gun. ( He had just turned 21 a month before. He was killed the 21st of December 2013. He was planning on becoming a police officer. I carried concealed then and I carry now. I've never once blamed the gun. I blamed the trash that pulled the trigger. Long past time to stop blaming guns and gun owners and lay it we're it belongs . Soley at the feet of the criminals. Time to get extremely tuff and take out the trash.

I think it is easiest to tell the bad guys in the situation as everyone is pointing in their direction. People legally carrying will put their hands up and guns down when the police arrive or when told to do so. The bad guy generally will not. The employees are educated and trained. How does that make guns glamorous? You carry one sir. Does it make you feel pretty? Sorry officer but those were not the most intelligent words you have ever put together. That's only because everyone who's eating in there are not carrying guns but you feel protected because a set few girls have guns. Now what would your feelings be if everyone in the restaurant had guns?. THEN the situation is not so safe if someone shoots everyone shoots do you think you would not be caught in the cross fire of a small restaurant with shooters all over again that has death written all over it. Having two staff members with guns I think is better that way if someone did come in and start shooting they can shoot him hopefully reducing the number of casualties caught in the cross fire. I can just imagine a shooter walking in and everyone pulling out there guns shouting" PUT THE GUN DOWN" or "I'LL SHOOT HIM" then bang bang nobody knows wtf is going on. This is why we have forces who carry out exercises over and over to cominicate and hopefully carry out the procedure taking out the suspect without killing civilians. Hanging on gun racks in their house, in their pickups, glove boxes, and leaning up in the corners of different rooms. A lot of gun shows, shooting competitions, and many types of hunting. Most teenagers went through Hunters Safety at 14 years old. A lot of people open carried back then but usually when they were going hunting they'd wear a pistol large caliber. I just believe that because not everyone is trained the same that if everyone had guns there would be more deaths to bystanders and damage to surrounding areas because lets say this. In the movie theater the guy walks in and 50% of the people are armed well the people without guns will try to run and potentially getting in the cross fire leading to more innocent deaths. I wish it was that either everyone is forced to have a gun and be trained with it or no one is allowed to have a gun (which is next to impossible). Also the officer does have a point because what if the shooter is pinned behind a car and a 'good samaritan' is shooting at this car with the shooter behind it. Please dont waist your time...its not like that anymore...its run down...only one person was wearing a gun..and almost Guaranteed they did not know how to use it....had only 1 t-shirt for sale.....seats in booths were all torn up and big holes....definitely the place had gone downhill......I was so disappointed

@@thyslop1737 no owner there and the 2 people that were there knew nothing......it was sort of sad....they really let that place go.....and the food was horrible....I love guns and the 2nd amendment....maybe things are not going right with them or something.....but yeah a big disappointment......it is a super small town.....in the middle of nowhere...maybe they just didn't have the customers they needed to stay afloat.....hopefully they can change things.....

I guess the old adage needs to be restated. If you dont like guns that is fine. Dont go to the restaurant. Why wish harm on them? I dont shop at target because of their policy of transgender bathrooms. Is it over the top? May e but like everyone says, the place probably wont be robbed at gunpoint nor will a mass shooting happen there. If either does, it will surely be neutralized quickly. Again, how many criminals are carrying and we dont know about them? Are criminals open carrying? I doubt it. They probably conceal carry. Who tells them they arent allowed to?

I agree. Some (again some) big city police have liberal mind set. Some behavioral training would be good for him. Yet, I wouldn't want him near me if a crime goes-down. If someone in that theater had a pistol (with permit), I believe there would have been less people murdered.

Agreed - but you cant deny it is a dilemma for law enforcement when you turn up and multiple people are shooting at each other and all in plain cloths? At that moment discerning good from bad would be almost impossible?
