This is simply selectively valuating what has been done by Trump and him. They both partook in the banter, and if Trump is a sexist, Billy is as equally a sexist. The difference between Billy and Trump is simply that Billy pretends to regret something while in actuality he simply feels bad for having his reputation and career damaged badly, while Trump is able to put the seriousness of the banter into perspective, laughing into the face of people that actually use this as an argument to say he is a sexist. If you can't see he shows remorse purely out of concern over his own career and personal stature, you should start to think logically.

Yet 10001 excuses were made at his defense? I would like to make it clear, I am not a democrat nor a repub-I vote based on the qualified not on parties. Of coarse its only my opinion but as far as I'm concerned, neither candidate was qualified nor deserving to be president. Hope the next election America will have a better more qualified candidates to choose from. Whatever happened to dignity and character? Why do we think a president who acts like one us is cool? What's so appealing about a 70 year old man/president acting and talking like Joe schmo at the corner dive bar....seriously?

Billy wasn't fired by the voters, he was fired by The Today Show for doing his job. This shows you how the Left will demonize anyone to further their agenda.
@scottd528437 жыл бұрын
So you're telling me you want to "force" companies and insurance providers to comply with what you want while telling me the Right is trying to force their agenda on everyone. Do you even see the double standard you're selling? It's the Left that wants to "force" taxpayers and business's to continue to pay even when it's not sustainable because of Obama care. You don't fix a problem by creating more problems. One big problem as I see it is the conflation of Insurance with welfare and medicare. These are supposed to be two very different subjects. If you force people to buy insurance then it's not insurance, it's called a "tax". If you tax people more and more each year, it's called "stealing". The Left loves to spend other peoples money while claiming it's never enough. There's a reason why the middle class is going away. It's called income redistribution.

Purely my opinion here: One of the things I found most impressive and telling about that video is that he did not spend his time blaming. He said at the end that he's "a changed man." In the bus he was a weasel. A weasel tries to weasel into and out of things by pointing fingers and blaming everyone else but themselves. He accepted responsibility like an adult. And if you think that what he was saying was an excuse, just imagine something really bad you did when you were younger, dealing with it, healing yourself, but then having to try to explain it publicly. What would you say differently to change people's minds?! Here's a rule I learned a long time ago: People are going to believe what they want to believe. And it's obvious from what Billy said near the end of the video that he's now learned that as well. I'd say that he isn't a childish, selfish person and that he HAS truly learned things. But that's just my opinion anyway.

Everyone is all upset over Trumps comments but ignore the Illegal recording of a private citizen. Prosecutors would call this case a slam dunk. It was a clear violation of state and federal recording laws. Consent must be given. It is always verbal first followed by paperwork. Most organizations also video tape the consent. It was unethical and illegal even if you despise the person. I dislike most democratic leaders but I will gladly defend the fact they were illegally recorded by the NSA.. I will stand side by side with all democrats across the country defending them against the illegal recording of personal phone call by the NSA. Defending illegal actions should be upheld equally regardless of political ideology or personal emotions.

The fact that you are both women is soooo sad. I guess thats the kinda guys you hang around. My homies and I might say a girl is hot but we definitely don't think "grabbing a woman by the pussy" is good conversation. Like most men I passed the needy "can I get a hug?" phase when I was 12.

Bush knew they were being recorded, but he didn't tell Trump they were being recorded. He egged Trump on knowing it was all being recorded. Trump didn't try to hug her, Bush suggested the hug. He was trying to create a scandal because scandals sell. He wants forgiveness for his part of the conversation, but he don't want the same forgiveness for Trump.

I think Billy Bush handled this really well and very maturely. I lost respect for him after they aired the tapes on the bus, but he explained it so well in this interview. Everyone makes mistakes, and he fully acknowledged his, and I do hope he can find success again.

He hit the nail on the head when he stated that he was doing what he felt he needed to do to stay in the good graces of the celebrities he needed to stay in good graces with. If he'd have admonished Trump for what he said, he wouldn't be invited to interview Trump again as Trump as president fires people who tell him what he doesn't want to hear... What he did have the option to do and failed to do was not add anything to the situation... That's where he blew it... He let himself get caught in the moment and that mistake will follow him the rest of his days...

I've definitely said terrible things before. I guess being on camera all the time is one of the many downsides that our generation has.

I do believe he is being truthful. His life was almost destroyed by this tape, yet he has admitted his guilt and done the work to rise above this episode. He has asked for our forgiveness, which seems genuine. Trump's "apology" looked like a hostage video where he was forced to speak words he did not believe. His actions since have not shown that he has an iota of humility.

Call me the devil's advocate, but I feel a little sympathy for him. Just a little. I'm glad ABC was merciful enough to give him some time to present his thoughts. I don't know the guy personally, but I do not believe Billy is the same person that he was in 2005. People can change a lot in that amount of time. Of course what he and Trump said on the bus was inappropriate. Yeah, this was supposed to be a professional environment, and is basically what immature teenagers would talk about in a high school locker room. But we need to remember that nobody is a perfect little angel. As a matter of fact, if one lives their life without acting like this at least once, I would think something is wrong with them. I also understand how serious the "aftershock" is. I get it, I get it, I get it. But It's a decade later and I can understand what it means to be a flawed human. As for Trump, eh. I'm not sure if he has changed much. It's kind of difficult to predict what's going on between his ears.
@MisanthropeAwaitingBliss4 жыл бұрын
My prayers for you to recover Billy. This is by far the most honest conversation and what you conveyed is very powerful. I have had moments where a jovial conversation turned so hilarious that even after an hour or so, something that reminded me of the joke would make me burst out laughing trying to talk about it. From the standpoint of the woman who you asked to hug, I am sure she would have felt pathetic when she sees all of this in retrospect and hence, as an adult you should have known better to control yourself. I truly believe you are a good person though. God bless you for speaking your heart.
