Elephants are almost legendary. Such brilliant, affectionate, majestic creatures. Got to interact with some on the Maasai Mara years ago. Apparently the chief of the adjacent village saved a matriarch of the herd from poachers when she was a baby. Every day the herd of elephants would wave at that guy when they went past him just on the village outskirts. So privileged, that dude.
