I love Jason Isaacs. Great to see him in this big new film.

It sounds very similar to Marilyn Monroe who created a public persona that everyone loved but the real Monroe was damaged and troubled. Grant lived much longer, though. Two incredibly talented actors - true movie stars.

I would really like to see this, but I am getting really tired of having to sign up for ANOTHER streaming service to watch a show.

Cary Grant's success was built upon several factors, but there's no getting around the fact that he was an incredibly handsome man, just perfect. Mr. Isaacs is a talented actor, but the notion of somebody with such a honker portraying Cary Grant is absurd, laughable.

I read Dyan’s book and I’ve seen the first episode of this. Jason does a fantastic job, honestly. If you have BritBox the first 2 episodes are there snd the next 2 on Thursday. It’s worth the watch

Better to have a great actor then a look alike....ill look forward

Dyan's book came out 12 years ago. Now a TV drama? Oh well...legends linger on.

Are they going into his romantic relationship with Mr.Orry Kelly, who he lived with for a very long time and used ,until cary got famous, then Cary left him and never spoke to him! Then when Orry became one of the all time great designers ( dressed Marilyn and everyone) Cary Grant pretended like he never even knew Orry, even though Orry fed him housed him took care of everything for him and they worked in the same business and went to all the same awards and parties.

I haven't seen this bio, but no offense to Jason Isaacs, if Cary Grant woke up from a 3 day drunk, he would still be better looking than you!

The clip about the baby...I agree with Cary Grant. When a woman chooses by her own free will to become a wife and mother she has to put those things FIRST...not some "career". Can you imagine leaving an infant just after you gave birth? Your first? When you had the financial means to stay at home and love her? NOTHING wrong with what Cary Grant asked of Dyan Cannon...what SHE DID was wrong. God bless~

I feel anyone choosing to be a parent - wife and mother, husband and father, same sex couples of either gender, unmarried couples; in a word ANYONE deciding to bring a new life into the world has an absolute obligation to do just as you say. As adults we can make that choice; the unborn can’t, and yes, that decision means the child from then on comes first. For the record, I haven’t read or heard Cannon’s or Grant’s stories; I don’t know who did or said what. And yes, absolutes are rare things, but the need to parent responsibly is one of them.

@@GrantTarredus if a woman was raped, she shouldn’t have to carry (exuse the pun) the rapist’s child.

@@barbarawebb7185 Of course! I should hope that would go without saying.

@@barbarawebb7185 So the innocent child pays a heavier penalty i.e. death, then the criminal rapist? How is it right to add infinitely more wrong to an already sad situation? Why not support the woman in using the pregnancy to transform such an evil experience into something good, true, and life giving? Why support her in committing a worse crime (and abortion does mess with women on many levels, my mom worked in a ministry called Rachel's Vineyard which helped women heal from the trauma of killing their own child) when you could help her heal instead? Love, life, healing and hope should be the answer. God bless~

@@GrantTarredus Part of parent responsibility is to make sure the child is brought into a stable, healthy, mature and lifelong union of it's mother and father. Anything else is selfish or a tragedy. Purposely denying a child either a mother or father (which single parenting and same sex people do) is not good and thus must be avoided for the sake of the child. A child NEEDS BOTH his/her parents. God bless~

I don't know why they would have this man play the role of Cary Grant. He may be a great actor, and he's not a bad looking gentleman, BUY HE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE CARY GRANT! I couldn't even watch the preview. For lack of a better way of putting it, Cary Grant was handsome, smooth, polished, debonair, etc. This guy is rugged, and his nose has a hump in it. It's a no for me. Sorry.

Isaacs has a similar personality. I love the guy. Face it: no one looks like Cary Grant who was likely the most handsome man ever born.

He looks more like Cary Grant when he puts in the brown contact lenses. But true, he doesn't hold a candle to the incredibly handsome Cary Grant. The actress is not as pretty as Dyan Cannon, either.
@nottobebelieved8608 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, but this must be a truly atrocious mini series considering how much touting it is getting in the liberal media. By the way, the actors playing Archie / Cary don't have as much charisma in their entire body as Archie / Cary could project with his little finger.

He looks a bit like him after the make-up etc and he got the voice right as far as I could tell from the clip. He's a good actor and it looks like a very interesting film. The obvious choice would have been George Clooney but he suffered from comparisons at the start of his career. Probably didn't want the part for that reason.

I think your being unfair, no one can be a carbon copy of Cary Grant, the actor did a great job, in terms of acting the role of Cary Grant .
